"Having an HPV-positive tumor was associated with significantly longer overall survival in two different studies, according to Dr. Kevin Cullen, director of the Greenebaum Cancer Center of the University of Maryland in Baltimore, and colleagues.

The finding also helps to explain why black Americans with throat cancer, otherwise known as oropharyngeal cancer do worse than whites, the researchers said in the September issue of the journal Cancer Prevention Research."

Thanks for the post. This isn't towards you. I am interested in all health related stories. One, this is a case scenerio observation. People need to understand before believing something, please research it for your own health. It's a business of who you are, what you know, and who you know. Physicians thrive on getting discoveries posted in the paper quarterly PDR. As well do medications. Especially New and Improved versions. So if your physician changes your medication, it's likely because theres a big ad in the PDR>
the physician benefits and pharma. My brother in law is a physician. One daughter a Nutritionist now studying . I'm a non practicing RN, studying emerging diseases, and epidemiology for 10 years.
Regarding Gardisil, HPV, the data shows the efficacy just isn't there people. Doctors, pharma thrive on getting in the next PDR>... be careful. Warning, data also shows efficacy and safety on 11 and 12 year olds is UNKNOWN........... to me that's a red flag. Please take care , watch yourself, labs aren't always attentive, doctors mean well, but you are the one making the choice. No this , by law the school cannot refuse your child from entering school if it religion based. I find that interesting, helpful, and also disturbing. Lastly, I went to the site to the article comments as well. Some Pancreatic cancers are in fact treatable and personally know a survivor. Each case of illness, disease varies according to each individual. Thank for the article..............take care of your health, and your children.
