ALBANY COUNTY, N.Y. -- Police across Albany County were looking for drunk drivers this Halloween weekend.

"Between Thursday night and Sunday morning, police made more than 1,500 stops at DWI checkpoints.

In all, 25 drunk driving arrests were made. Nine of those were for aggravated DWI, which is above .18 blood alcohol content.

Police also found 62 designated drivers on the roads this Halloween weekend."

We have the right to protect ourselves from unsafe drivers. Police have the right to write as many tickets as they can.

did you know in Calfifornia more teenagers were killed by DUI than guns? The mother who started MADD needed facts to win her case, and showing people that cars killed more people than guns did was a selling point.
