Please write and call asking for the maximum sentence allowed under Arizona law. Please be polite! Arizona law states that cruelty that results in death allows for a maximum sentence of 1 year in jail and a $150,000 fine. This is what we would like to see!

Please contact Mike Anthony Scerbo at 602-506-3170 (office) or 602-489-6913 (cell). You may also write him at:
301 W Jefferson, Suite 800
Phoenix, AZ 85003

This poor dog also had bleeding ulcers and bones were protruding in every area. Her eye sockets were completely sunken in. Grass and forage were the only contents in her stomach. This poor baby suffered immensely!!

If you want to email, which is probably better given the time constraints AND because then they can be printed out, here is the info:

Please include your name & address at the bottom of your email.

To the attention of:
Mike Anthony Scerbo at scerbom@mcao.maricopa.gov

Noted and thank you Rebecca for bringing this story to our attention. I've taken the details and I'll write and email from Australia tonight.

This woman is inhumane for what she did to this defenseless dog. The maximum penalty is not enough for her!

I'll forward to my friends now.

How heartbreaking. I am so sick and tired of reading about people who cannot take the time nor have the compassion to even feed a dog. Will send off my email and cross post to my groups.

This woman needs to go to jail - never mind the "slap on the wrist" - and these insensitive judges need to start answering to the voting public WHY this happened!!! I would like her to be in a small cell and have the guards just "forget" to feed her. She sure fed herself for all that time!!!

This woman must have watched this poor dog die a slow and painful death.
If people can't afford/be bothered to keep an animal properly, why don't they give them away?

Forgive me, but, this woman must be mentally ill and probably needs psychiatric care...however, I cannot help wishing to starve her to death, or a state just before death, so she could experience exactly what she did to this dear creature. I cannot stop crying. I will email and forward and whatever, but, somehow these twisted people keep coming. I believe it is because we are failing the children.

Thank you all so much for writing and forwarding. I'm hoping to hear that this evil, selfish woman received the maximum jail time as well as a very hefty fine.

I just hope all the pressure from around the world will bring a good penalty to bear. Lord knows it didn't help with the azzhole man who dragged his horse and had his 13-year-old daughter kicking it in the head. The daughter was never charged at all and the man received the proverbial "slap on the wrist". Absolutely sickening!

FOLKS....JUST GOT WORD THAT OUR EFFORTS ARE WORKING. PLEASE DO NOT SEND ANY MORE EMAILS.

THE PROSECUTOR HAS SAID THAT THE JUDGE IS SYMPATHETIC AND THAT HE HAS ENOUGH LETTERS TO PRESENT.

THANKS TO ALL FOR THE GREAT EFFORT!! I'LL KEEP YOU POSTED ON THE OUTCOME.

This is absolutely appalling. It is horrific enough that we already severely neglect and abuse our own children TO DEATH (i.e. Caylee Anthony), do we now have to TERRORIZE and destroy ALL of God's innocent creatures this way! I am just disgusted. This person (and I won't say human, because anyone who commits such an act is NOT HUMAN), AT THE VERY LEAST deserves the most severe sentence available under the law. My personal opinion, is that just let HER starve, and be abused for a while. I think she would "change her tune" very quickly. Again, this is a criminal act. This person should be jailed and never be allowed to "own" an animal again, EVER! D. A.

Was just about to send off my email. Poor woof. RIP D-Bo. Lock her up, throw the key away, and don't feed her.
