If you value being able to have a garden, if you don't want to be forced to eat genetically modified foods, if you want to eat organic and even if you just value your freedom of choice, you will want to sign against this bill that takes that all from you.

They should go after Cargill Big Agri and their contaminated beef instead. A woman is now paralyzed and permanently brain damaged because of their unsanitary big agri- practices. If they were truly concerned about public health, they'd do a far better job of regulating big agri or shutting them down. Shutting down Monsanto and DuPont would be a great start.

The only reason this is funny is that I made the following comment on a story about Congress including in the health care bill legislation to discourage behaviors that include smoking and not exercising. It already happened according to this story on Monsanto. Just lucky, not psychic...

When a congress is willing to ban flavored tobacco, because teenagers might buy it even though it was already illegal for them, and an administration is willing to sign the ban, and a major corporation (Phillip Morris) lobbies heavily for the ban (because they don't make that type of product and want governmental help in eliminating a little competition, then

hoho's, big macs, cokes, and any other product declared a vice by the powers that be, will be banned at some point as well.

For me, it's a footnote,
for flavored tobacco smokers, a travesty,
for all of us, the knowledge that if Monsanto spends enough lobbying,
organic vegetables and non-engineered foods might be banned as well.

When governments and corporations are bloated and massive, they do not hesitate to restrict freedom. One day, it might be your freedom that is restricted. Speaking of bloated, congress members pay $42 a month for health insurance. How many of them would qualify as physically healthy? How many smoke? Interesting how their laws do not apply to them.

The best way to fix health insurance is not to put America on the Congressional plan, it's to put Congress on the same type of plan that their constituents have! Think about it,,,

"The best way to fix health insurance is not to put America on the Congressional plan, it's to put Congress on the same type of plan that their constituents have! Think about it,,"

This is SO spot on, Paul - They pay $42 a month???? Compared to everyone else's payments, that's a crime.
I'm going to make your suggestion to my Congressional folks..
