Every state has its unique traits and qualities that citizens like to discuss, bantering about who lives in the greatest piece of the nation.

Have enjoyed some vacation visits to Vegas but I don't approve of internet gambling or expanding it to other states. These perceived sources of "easy money" are too difficult to regulate and monitor.

I remember when the lottery came to Texas; it was approved because funds were supposed to go towards education yet our school districts have massive shortfalls. There are many ways to play the lottery to keep people interested and to entice dollars that should be spent more prudently or saved.

I saw a scary statistic once on the number of people who were relying on winning the lottery as their retirement income. We need less gambling, not more.
