Developed countries are spending millions on sports and wars. Whereas the latest report from 'Save the Children' shows that 200 million children worldwide do not live until their fifth birthday; majority of them die due to lack of basic health care.

That makes perfectly clear what aparantly seems the most important in this modern and developed world !
The rich are getting richer, and the poor are getting poorer, the sick are getting sicker, and in the end there's no one to help them anymore.
Yet I'm trying to understand what is the development in our world ... is it leading to a certain blindness ?
So in fact the rich are getting poorer, but just feeling rich, and kick on their power to rule this world ?
This is exactly what is frustrating me already for a long time.
Thank you for posting Kelli, maybe people wake up now, and start thinking !

The income disparity in the U.S. is widening also, while social service programs continue to receive funding cuts. We still have most of our basic programs, but the qualifying requirements are harder to meet. There has been effort to see to it all children are insured to receive medical coverage. However there is a huge and ever growing group that still doesn't make enough to pay for their own children's care, yet make just a bit too much to qualify for govt. insurance programs.

It's another one on our list of great shame.

Thank you Kelli.
