Sick that people blame the girl for committing suicide. Children are very vulnerable, especially at this age. What the woman did was so outrageous and cruel, I believe she should be charged with manslaughter at least. For an adult to innocently pray on a child's mind and heart like this is unthinkable to me. It is not the girl who was sick, but the woman who harrassed her. A thirteen year old girl is still a child. There is probably no other age at which young girls are more vulnerable than when approaching adolescence. It is a difficult time for most, even those who are supposedly "well-adjusted". I wish I did not have to repeat this, but the girl is NOT to blame here. Something like this would be hard for even most adults to handle, this is terribly abusive, treacherous, downright evil. The woman deserves to pay dearly for what she did. She is the one who is truly, truly SICK. We don't need people like her running loose in society and if the world would be better off without anyone here, it would be her.

The maturity level of this so called mother is about 5th grade status.

There are too many people who need parenting classes or not be allwed to have children at all!!!!!! And a really good place to starting teaching parenting is about in first grade all the way to 12th!!!!!!

Evidently this woman was unknowingly taught/given her behavior by her own parents........It goes on for generation you know!!!!!!

Your children will become what you are;
so be what you want them to be.

There's a Care2 member, who was like this. She'd pretend to be a beautiful, caring young woman and snare young men. Good thing she's dead. So now I won't tell who she was. She pretended to be caring, vulnerable, abused while she was only caught up in her little world. She had psychological problems (which is the reason why I pity her). A lot of people on Care2 think of her as caring, compassionate and do not know this sick, perverted TRUE side of her. I'd like to keep it that way.

Let's face it, the big reason why this is being highlighted is because the girl committed suicide. The woman deserves the condemnation, the trial, the punishment. But let us not delude ourselves that this is a one-off, extreme situation. There are perverts all around us, and not all of them are men stalking young women, many are women who aren't worth the salt they eat. For every such a young girl who commits suicide in anguish, there must be dozens of men and women who quietly suffer alone, wondering why they deserved it, or even deciding that they are not good enough - never realising that they were manipulated. This woman on Care2 is thought of as caring, many sincerely believe she was a true friend to them, she is adored and missed; and most of her friends have no idea that she led a terribly manipulative double life and took many Care2 members (including YOU?) for a ride. even I realised this late - too late to do anything about it. Like I said, I won't reveal her name because she is dead.

I do not wish to bad-mouth any person. I DO NOT INTEND to spread gossip. I put a great deal of thought into whether I should ever write this comment, and my sole reason in writing this is that the someone might read these words carefully, broaden his/her perspective and that, that may save his or her life, or at least his/her emotional life in the future. This is, after all, an online community. A person you adore and a person you hate might actually be the same person, and you may never realise it. Things aren't always what they seem. The woman in this story deserves whatever punishment she can get. But her current life is punishment enough. Such people are so sick up there and they don't even know it. They get themselves into delusional messes and drag well-meaning, innocent people into their messes.

There's all kinds of harassments in the books. This is certainly a new one, internet harassment, and most likely to get in the books too. Teens have enough problems in growing up as it is for them. This is just one more "thing" that is just not wanted. Yep, I'm in favour of passing a law on Internet Harassment.

This woman, Lori Drew, should get 10 years in prison for her part in causing the death of Megan Meier. Lori Drew should be charged with a felony and her daughter should also be charged with a crime as well.

TY, Kelli.

She should be held accountable. She was the adult.

I feel so awful that this poor young girl suffered so much at the hands of an adult. This woman needs to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Shame on this woman and her actions. Juvinile is the only description I can add. She needs to serve hard time, and her daughter as well.
Cyberbullying has gone unchecked for years. Adults even stalking anothee adult online is a daily trial for many people.....laws need to catch up with internet technology....nip the stalking and harassment in the bud now before more children get hurt.
