Too many dedicated pre-k teachers are saddled with crippling debt from pursuing the degrees and certifications they need to teach in quality pre-k settings and prepare children for the rest of their education.

I am a retired teacher and it is oh so true. Today's teachers are coming out of college so far in debt that they find themselves working extra jobs to help pay off school loans. True, other college grads are in the same boat, but the demands put on a young teacher are unlike the demands in other proffessons. You, as a teacher are not finished, you must, in many states, continue your education. This means addional funds for college or Continuing Education Credits and many towns, let alone private pre-school, pay for teachers to take these credits and workshops. Yet the states demand the teachers attend a certain number in a certain number of years or they are no longer certifies and lost to the system.

I have noted and pray that sponsorship will be put forward for these vital people who are educating our children.

Signed and forwarded.

Our country needs to spend more money for Education and for Teachers. bushy's folly is wasting our moneys on "war", military-industrial complex and silver-lining pockets.

Even speaking from Africa, I would prefer to see Gates and others take care of their homeland more, they waste by far to much money here implementing programmes that have no chance for success. They should spend some at home and less on programmes they know nothing about. This sounds like it would be a good start. China is spending millions in the US to create Mandarin as a second language. If China feels it worthwhile to support education in the US why aren't the big American companies?
Thanks Kelli for the post
