AS the issue of child abuse rages in the country, over 15,000 children have been identified as abandoned and stigmatized as "witches" in Akwa Ibom and Cross River states.

When are these people going to realize these children are not witches. How long are these children going to suffer because of ignorance. Something seriously has to be done. My heart breaks for these innocent children. Sadly noted. Thanks Kelli.

I signed this petition or one like it befor- and I will sign this one-Blessedly outraged here at the ignorance and this reminds me of the children of the first people who were set upon by Missionary schools while the government in the name of "saving their souls" turned a blind eye and a deaf ear to their crys from abuse- These children could do without The kind of "education and help" these so called Christian people do!

Kelli you are so right. These children and people are just getting fooled by these people. Where would they get such an idea. All of the statements you all have said is so true. Is there any smart people that can go out and help them with this ignorance of witch craft? If I could go there to help them become a little wiser, I would. Lets just pray that some one near can help them.

There are {Pentecostaltemplechurch.com} addresses available of "pastors" and "churches", Attack from all sides, go to Pentecostal churches in your area and ask to speak to the congregation about what The Liberty Foundation is doing. Make them listen, and make them intervene for the children. Explain that you are sure their "missionaries" never gave this idea or espouse this idea. Jesus said "Suffer the children to come onto me". Never would he ever denounce a child as a "witch"...

I believe the church is claiming these children to be witches as a cover-up and a way to extort money from the people. This is not right in any case. But it becomes the responsiblity of the country of Nigeria to make a stand on all areas. Why some and not all have adopted these child regulations? That still remeins to be answered.
