Those ubiquitous wires connecting listeners to you-name-the-sounds from invisible MP3 players -- whether of Bach, Miles Davis or, more likely today, Lady Gaga -- only hint at music's effect on the soul throughout the ages.

Fascinating. I know that anyone really good in math has had musical training.

Great! My daughter hears music and she can't help but dance to it! Time to sign her up for music and dance lessons...

Thank goodness for those violin lessons I took as a kid. Now I'm inspired to go play once in awhile :D It would be good if we could provide all kids (and anyone else for that matter) with basic musical training.
