Thank you for "resurrecting" this "born again primitive" for the minds of those who may not have known him during the 70's.

Good job, Kat!

This is a very special man-had the great pleasure of meeting him and the inimitable Brando in the 70's when I was involved in women's rights. He's every bit the wild man-they say he is-the Crazy Horse....and one of a kind. Thanks Kat.

Each generation does seem to spring forth its Leaders, Russell Means has certainly been one of those. His tireless efforts make him an extrodinary man among men. Might I suggest for those who have not read it, his book titled Where White Men Fear To Tread.

Noted Kat with sincere thanks for posting the story of this American hero.
I never had the honor of meeting him but have kept up with whatever information I could get from all media sources in the 70's and since. I was living in Minneapolis at that time of events at Wounded Knee. I recall that at the time even the usually biased mainstream press in the Twin Cities covered the incidents thouroughly as well as left wing newspapers. Russell Means along with Clyde Bellecourt, Pedro Bisonette and their attorney, William Kunstler challenged the conscience of non-Native Americans. It made many of us ashamed of so many injustices that have happened over the centuries. And it rages on.
