Leonard Peltier
Holiday Gift Drive 2009

Leonard Peltier is organizing a holiday gift drive for the children of Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota and the Turtle Mountain Reservation in Belcourt, North Dakota. Leonard grew up on the Turtle Mountain Reservation and many of his family members still live there.

This annual gift drive is one way in which Leonard continues his humanitarian work for his people. Help Leonard reach out beyond the bars that imprison him.

Remember... The gift drive helps the children and families, but also Leonard himself. Help keep Leonard's spirit strong through the difficult holiday season.

Mail all gifts to:

Waha Peltier
PO Box 159
Pine Ridge, SD 57770

Turtle Mountain Tribal Agency
Gifts from Leonard
c/o Cindy Malaterre
PO Box 900
Belcourt, ND 58316

Send new (unwrapped) toys, warm clothing, books, school supplies, etc., for children of ALL ages (newborn to 18 years). To ensure delivery by Christmas, mail your gift no later than December 17.

Thank you for your generous support.

This man has suffered such injustice, I become disgusted with every president we have had since his imprisonment, for not pardoning him as their last act in office.

Thank you for this notice Kat.. I will send this around so others may send something this season that can be useful for these children. Leonards a good man and I believe that this coming year could be Leonards year..Those who believe in Leonards cause will not let it go till he's enjoying the sun, on his face, as a free man;

THANKS I JUST POSTED IT ON NATIVE SPIRITS@NING.COM SO WE CAN GET SOME OTHER NATIVE'S TO CONTRIBUTE. My mother started a Xmas Gift drive long ago at the Pine Ridge Boarding school for Indians down there. and for the Elders when we lived there. I didn't know they were still doing it, wait until I tell her about this. Thanks and make sure you contribute Debrinconcita in Portland Oregon.
