It is my understanding that the tribal police had the only jurisdiction over all things on the
Seminole Reservations, keep the government out of our affairs.

You're right Margaret....the only reason they are complaining is that its taking away from the horse racing industry revenue (GOOD). Leave the Indians alone. Thank for posting Kat! (HUGS)

I never could get it. They can bet on horse racing to me thats the same as gambling is it not? If that the case why not shut them all down except for the reservation which does not belong to them anyway. They have there own life own law's. Thanks Kat

Okay, so you invade their land, Kill their children, rape their women and threaten them the word of the Lord. Put them on land that can not provide a meal, keep them down. Then you offer a gaming programme to help them survive. NOW you wanna take it away all in the name of greed!
That Supreme Court of ours better tell those idiots to go............

I personally find it distasteful that the Native American has been used again to promote gaming as one of the few ways available to attempt to support tribal members. This should not be one of the few money making opportunities for these people. For Gulfstream to be afraid that Indian Casinos taking profits from a race track--I will never feel sorry for any industry that breaks down horses and then spits them out to kill buyers faster than they can breed the next seasons group of casualties-in-waiting.

Native Americans have a long history of enjoying games of chance. Let them offer games of chance on their own lands if their people wish to do so, that is their choice. Leave them alone and let them run their casinos, at least people aren't getting drunk and sloppy in the Indian-owned and operated establishments!

This is Deja Vu all over again...back a number of years ago, Trump and the other white owned gambling syndicates screamed bloody murder about the (you guessed it) UNFAIR COMPETITION shown by some of the New England Rez Tribes with their highly $ucce$$ful Gambling putting the po' old white guys at a "distinct disadvantage" (boohoo, sniff, sniff) who were bleeding moneyed red..yadayadablahblahblahadnauseum.

Aba's right, it certainly wasn't a choice the Nations originally wanted...
