Pituitary.org says that 1 in 5 people suffer from pituitary dysfunction - even more so if you have suffered any kind of jolt to the head, as have many war veterans. Screening for this condition will certainly save lives and quality of life for many vets.

Since release of the film, "Blackfish," there has been an increased worldwide outcry over the capture of Orcas. But that hasn't stopped Russia from taking two from the wild in the last weeks. Russia and every country must ban this cruelty now!

Although ESPN panelist Stephen A. Smith finally made a heartfelt apology over his statement insinuating woman might provoke beatings, it took him a while to get it. It's reflective of a tolerance for domestic abuse in sports that ESPN needs to address

Results of health studies on men don't necessarily tell us how drugs and medical devices will help or harm women. But for years women have been, essentially, left out these clinical trials - and it is harming them!

Choosing to take or refuse prescription or over-the-counter medication shouldn't be a crime. But an Akron woman was assaulted then handcuffed for taking her prescribed pain pills by police who literally tried to pry the pills out of her mouth.

Because pink sea fans are so vulnerable to damage and very slow-growing, they are supposed to be protected. But this rare coral found off the coast near Plymouth, Eng. is being buried in silt. The silt comes from dredging for warships at Devonport docks.

Older trees remove more carbon dioxide from the atmosphere than newer ones. So why is California now giving companies carbon credits to clear cut old-growth forests? Logging companies should be punished - not rewarded - for forest destruction!
