48 different women total including cosmonauts, astronauts, payload specialists and foreign nationals have flown in space.So they can fly to the moon but they can't have equality in the boardroom, parliament or society. Surely this is rather parochial?

It is an interesting thing that it is exactly because women are not as likely to take manual labour jobs eg work in the mines, as construction workers or mechanics- as men- that women almost have no choice but to get a tertiary education so they can do white collar work and so they actually climb higher than men up the pay ladder- but they end up having more education debt.
