I have been to the Georgia Aquarium, it really is magnificent. The most amazing part WAS the Beluga whale. I will never forget the beautiful/majestic creature that I saw. It was the most fascinating moment I can recall, and I feel lucky that I've had that opportunity.

Despite my amazement at that time though, I signed this petition. Like I said, I've been there.. I don't understand why they need or want to import 18 Beluga Whales. What do they need so many for?? That aquarium is huge, sure, but not big enough for that amount of whales. Taking them out of the wild is unfair to them as it is, but not giving them proper housing/space is abuse in my book.

I didn't see the original post for this issue until after my last comment. I wasn't aware they're planning to split them up to different facilities. I do still find this wrong. As fascinating as seeing one was, I would rather he/she be free to roam and be happy.
