For more than 20 years, the Physicians Committee has pushed the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences--the country's only military medical school--to stop using animals to train medical students. On Sept. 3, 2013, the university agreed.

Please go to the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine to ask the remaining medical schools tht torture and kill animals to use the state-of-the art stimulators instead:

Please forgive typo in prior comment. it's "simulators", not "stimulators". Oops, oops, oops.
Thank you.

In this day and age there really is no purpose for animal experimentation.

Thousands of animals saved and only millions more to go. I am thrilled that no more will suffer there.

This is really great news and always a bittersweet victory. (I am so grateful to hear this, but am always remembering all the innocents that gave their lives in these "houses of horrors" . It takes such a long time to get this to finally happen, but finally, now, I am hopeful that we can get this unspeakable, inhumane practice to become a thing of the past! This encourages me to fight harder. Thank you for the story!
