I have always been a huge animal lover. It tears me up inside and out that shelters will euthanize perfectly healthy animals just because their facility is over crowded. Animals never get the recognition they rightfully deserve.

So signed. I can't believe this goes on, 4-5 million animals euthanised every year in USA alone. Here in the UK, we have the dog's trust, which will not put a healthy animal down.

Thanks for posting Kelly.

Damn, there is that word again-euthanizing. Are the animals sick or suffering from some terminal condition? no, they are be killed because people are irresponsible and don;t take care of them thus resulting in overcrowding.'Euthanize perfectly healthy animals"=an oxymoronic statement. Stronger standards must be held for those who have animals and people must be educated and forced to spay/alter (I like that word better).
Certainly I will sign but wh do people continue to use this euphemism for something that is definitely not gentle or good?

signed but we need to go after the root of the problem and that those that are breeding or letting their animals breed. We need to start making them responsible for every single animal they bring into this earth.

No! I will not sign. While this sounds all nice, warm and fuzzy, it is also half-baked and totally impractical. Just what the hell is going to be done when all the shelters are at capacity and can take no more animals. Even as is more and more shelters are closing due to lack of funding and volunteers. The part about PTSD sounds nice but not all resuce/shelter animals are suitable for companion or therapy animals. This is not a solution.
