Problems keep mounting for the marine-mammal abusement park. Barely more than a year after a PETA complaint prompted the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to cite SeaWorld Orlando for violations of the Animal Welfare Act--

Cetaceans are wild animals and do not belong in captivity. If this incident puts tourists off these awful excursions and helps to shut Seaworld and Taiji down for good then, I can only see it as good news.

Let's hope that Sea World doesn't put any of its sealife down due to behavior problems. They need to let these mammals go, to be trained for release back into the sea.

Signed. Don't bring your children to SeaWorld if you don't want them to get hurt or see trainers get killed. Close the stupid places.

Will Sea World and other profit seeking theme parks ever get it right? These animals do not belong in captivity for the sake of making money or anything else. The environment that they are forced to live in is absolutely disturbing, immoral and should be outlawed. Boycott these parks and save the animals. Thanks Kelly for sharing.

Need laws that will no longer let people exploit animals like this. That being said, I've read that Sea World has one of the best seal and otter rehab's of anywhere in the world. They certainly can't rehab sick and injured animals for free, but then captured animals should not have to pay the price for these operations. I don't know what the solution is.

Signed petition. SeaWorld is cruel and inhumane and should be closed down.

Will not sign the PETA form! Why does their petition require my date of birth? way more info than they need. Have no challenge opposing seaworld's terrible treatment of these beautiful sentient beings and have signed for seaworld to release dolphins and orcas. The horrible gash on the orca is truly PROOF seaworld is not keeping these beautiful beings safe.

"This most recent incident happened just a few days after another dolphin was born into a lifetime of captivity at SeaWorld Orlando’s Discovery Cove. Let’s hope the park doesn’t choose to separate the baby from her mother, Rose, and ship her off to a different park."
:-(

The victim should have done something to irritate the animal so it's unjust to say the later is criminal

I notice that this is under your "Business" section. That's the problem. Keeping wild animals in captivity should not be a "business".

Dolphins are intelligent, friendly Wikd Animals. The friendly oart stops when this animal has enough of being abused. Confining wild animals {esp. for entainment] is abuse.

News flash, Kelly! That's not a dolphin in the photo..........that's a Killer Whale, known as an Orca. Dolphins are not always like Flipper, and biting a trainer or handler is to be expected sometimes.
