You can leave a message at the end of the story. When Vick set out to organize a comedy special for charity in Shreveport, a group of animal lovers started a Facebook group to protest the event. The Comedy Explosion is set to go down July 12~ RIP LUCAS

The event is a charity event to remember an old friend ( John Madden) starting a ruckus is tacky and uncalled for. It's not a charity event for Vick. I detest his past actions, however continuing to send him hatred and negative energy is not going help. What you resist persists. You don't have to like or forgive his actions but, at some point, forgive the man.

The man has never acted from remorse over such a horrible act of vicious cruelty. He should be in jail for the resat of his life, not making money.

there are a lot of ill conceived "charity" events- donkey basketball, catch a pig, rodeos that injure if not kill animals. Granted with comedy- you could "die" laughing. If he wants to be a "hero" why not be an anonymous donor and match funds raised? Nah...he wants the glory. He certainly has no shame or true remorse.

Signed. I hate Michael Vick and I will never ever forgive him. He owes any money to the animals and even that will not repay the torture he put them through, till they lost their lives.

I do not hate him. That is too much work. He has served his time and so far is living within the conditions placed on him. That being said, I hope that, if this is a charity event, some of the money is going to the animal shelters in Shreveport.

To many people are uninformed on just how horrific the dog fighting rings are. The judge that adjudicated his case was Imo uninformed. He should still be in prison.

Madden would have been pleased by the outrage against dog fighting.

So here's the deal - after a half hour trying to get the site to come up, then 5 minutes sitting on the Ctrl-Alt-Del combination just to get my computer back, and another fruitless 15 minutes googling, I still have no idea what this story is about. Maybe it's best that way.

Vick's punishment did NOT fit the crime! The only way to punish a "person" like Vick is to ignore them...give them no attention at all.

I did not see what the charity is for. I know in rememberance of Madden but where is the so-call charity money going? I just can't believe another team picked him up. This is one case where the punishment did not fit the crime and he should be reminded of it. He paid lipservice to what he did that was all. His money paid his way free. He should have not been allowed anywhere near animals and he has them in his house. He just needs to fade away.

He is no better than pond scum and I believe he is doing this even solely to better his reputation and not for any other reason. He deserves any nagging and protesting people can give him. He murdered and abused umpteen dogs and pretty much got away scott free. Community service = Publicity PR.... Who would believe his lies.
