Interesting to know they are also using canine kidney cells to cultivate flu vaccines. I followed the article to its source and then di more research and it is true. No vaccines!

What guarantees are there that the GM proteins used from either method is safe compared to the standard egg growth technology? How much testing can they have done already on these techniques to know how these production methods will effect the different influenza strains that come up each year? It seems a case of profit trumping safety with the FDA.

Yet ANOTHER reason . . . to avoid the flu vaccine!

[shaking head in disgust]

Disgusting. Using animals for medicine is just plain wrong.

Ditto to Carole!! My hair's standing on end. I've never had the shot and never will. Who knows what the hell's in those things! Thanks Joseph

Adding my thanks, Joseph. This article indicates it came from Natural News. I read a similar article earlier there, which stated that this also includes the Gardasil vaccine and tetanus shots. None of those for me, either.

I skipped the flu shots this year-sounds like it will be the same from now on. FDA apparently now stands for freaking dumb asses.

wow! Have you ever read Kafka's Metamorphasis (of Gregor)? The guy slowly turns into a giant cockroach!!!
Then again, cockroaches have the ability to survive all sorts of warming. Maybe these scientists are trying to "help" speed up the process? Maybe tomorrow I will be able to crawl up the wall and peer down from the ceiling?

Geez, no wonder they won't ban GMO foods. They are liking GMO.

Please do not make your decisions based on a hastily written article. GM does not automatically involve Monsanto. The protein is the viral protein that elicits the body's immune reaction...which means it is not the live virus that can actually infect you. As far as Guillain Barre--it would be less likely because the protein involved is more genetically distant than the chicken egg cell involved in the traditional production of the shot. And yes, this means millions of actual eggs used. And the dog kidney cell mentioned does not mean harvesting thousands of dog kidneys. The cell comes from a line of dog kidney cells that has been propagated.

Oh, god!

If only we could know HOW MANY OTHER medicines are made with GM substances!

Please watch Genetic Roulette - The Gamble of Our Lives which is a seriously documented & award-winning documentary, not at all 'hastily' put together

Awarded Solari Best Film of the Year, 2012, Genetic Roulette has an opportunity to receive the AwareGuide Top Transformational Film, 2012! IRT(The Institute for Responsible Technology) is offering a free screening of GRM so you can watch and understand why this film certainly deserves the awarded for most transformational film, 2012!

Have a movie night and then add your vote on January 28th-February 3rd! - Extended to 10th, but still online & viewable. Don't Miss it!

OK, you do realize most of you are being biased and ignorant, the GM cells are not used to manufacture the vaccine they only provide the non-albumin viral protein vector that is absolutely identical to the one used in the egg vaccine. And that means that those who are allergic to the albumin vaccines can be protected. And the HPV and Hep B vaccines use a recombinant technology as do the VRG(Rabies) and Purenax(Feline Leukemia) vaccines that protect your pets. But hell if you want to intentionally endanger your pets fine with me, but if your pet bites some one and gives them rabies I hope they sue your ass and own it for willful endangerment of the public health. Which by the by is just what you do when go around the very young, old or those with compromised immune systems, like cancer patients while intentionally not being vaccinated. So ask yourselves, "Does your baseless phobia of GM vaccines give you the right to endanger the health and lives of those around you, from your parents to your grandchildren to those of others." the fact is recombinant vaccines do not need or use any of the potentially toxic preservatives, they can be manufactured faster to avoid shortages aka death and sickness and can be shipped faster to epidemics.

Psychology, Lloyd, use a little psychology! Just a tip, but nobody has ever convinced anyone about anything by starting off by calling them "biased and ignorant"
