Never had this happen (thankfully) but I did have a cat that began to cry and meow incessantly in my living room while I was upstairs dressing for a doctor's appointment. I thought she was just being spoiled and wanted me to come play with her, which would have made me late. When I finally gave in and went to investigate, since she would not stop, I discovered a pipe had broken in the ceiling and water was pouring down into the room! Cassie had been trying to tell something just wasn't right! I've learned to listen better and trust more!

Wow. Very observant & brave cat. My cat would probably be too frightened to talk if someone broke in.

Good thing this woman is tuned into the cat's behavior's. Cats are very smart. They just don't react like dogs, but they do react to everything.

I had a very similar experience during a night my cat came at full speed under my blankets, this waking me, this happened because a thief had entered through the window.
The thief saw the light and he run fast and away.
Only problem was that my cat urinated in great fear as he tried to get into my bed, he wetting me and the bed ....
thank you Julie

Its a good thing she was warned by the kitty that the man was there, who know what the burglar could have done to her.

My cat did something like that when we had a burglar in the building .She sensed him on our floor and started scracthing the door so I opened and she stood there looking up at me and meowed, seemed like she was trying to tell me something. I went out in the hallway and had a look. There was a strange looking man lurking around carrying some sort of bag full of tools. When he saw me he was startled and ran down the stairs very quickly. I called the police and gave them an identification. Noted, Thanks
