"The crowd was in a rage, in an uproar," De Leonibus told Tampa Bay's WTSP. "Some of them were stomping their feet. The gentleman behind me threatened to go protest. He was really upset."

Very upsetting; they should close the place, as well as all the similar places over the world.

Thanks, Julie... It is really upsetting to see the dolphin struggle and suffer and no one came to help..

How very sad. SeaWorld is certainly disingenuous if it's currently presenting itself as focused on whale and dolphin rescue. At least the whale beaching didn't turn into a tragedy, and apparently many in the audience that day now know the ugly truth about SeaWorld. I agree with Veronique: all such operations should be shut down!

This just makes me hate Seaworld more than ever. Ive never been there, never want to, and think it should be shut down immediately. They clearly care more about profits than any animal in their care. Wish I hadnt seen this, it just makes me feel angry and powerless.

I wonder how many of us would have pushed the dolphin back in the water?

Caught on tape! Try to get out of this one SeaWorld!

These articles are very important to read and share. Thanks all!

Maybe this will keep people from supporting this Pool of Horror.

It's true that pilot whales often swim in shallow water, but this one was STRANDED. It was struggling to get back into the water and couldn't, and no one bothered to help the poor creature for over 30 minutes. That is not normal behavior--any idiot could see that something is wrong, and the employees weren't near the pool and didn't even seem to care when people tried to inform them of the animal's distress. That doesn't sound to me like it was being "constantly monitored by trainers".

I think rescue and rehabilitation sanctuaries are important, especially for endangered species, but Sea World is a profit-driven theme park, not a true sanctuary or even an aquarium. They need to be shut down and their animals sent to real sanctuaries. With time, some may even be suited for full release back into the wild.

upsetting and makes me hate sea world even more. Whales need to swim at least 6 miles a day. they need to be in the wild. like Kayleigh Harter said ,while there are exceptions such as rescue and rehabilitation sanctuaries anything that is for profit is cruel and unnecessary.

Sea World is a disgrace! It is well documented about their abuse of marine mammals. Then they lie to the gullible public about it. All they want is money.

These bastards should be beaten to a bloody pulp - disgusting rubbishes. Animal activists should storm this place and set these animals free.

So very sad. Posted in FB and Twitter, people need to know these things and stop paying for shows that are based on the torture and death of animals.
Thanks Julie.
