Noted and signed - absolutely shocking and horrible to think that we humans can do these horrendous things to innocent animals so that we can rake in the profits. We don't care who we trample on, who or what we kill, as long as we are benefitting. We are such a despicable barbaric race that I am very ashamed to be part of it!

Please Join: Orangutans: Men of the Forest
http://www.care2.com/c2c/group/Michela

This is the reasons why I created this Group, but people seem not to care less!!! I continuously beg Members to INVITE friends, to SPREAD the word, also on other Networks, but there is NO feedback except for a few of them... "I'm a single drop... all together we are an Ocean" has always been my motto, butwe are ONLY 4,000!! NONE of the BIG Companies can be scared of such a small No. of people!! Our Counterparts are BIG Corporations: Oil, Palm Oil, Fuel, Timber, Food & Fastfood, Personal Care, Cosmetic, Chemical (OGMs), Pharmaceutical (Vivisection & Bees) etc. Companies, Corporations, Giants... But I continue going to bed at 4:30 - 5:00 a.m. for the Endangered Species that are victims of Corporations' Greed.

Lone Droscher-Nielsen, the Danish "Orangutan hero", in one of the Conferences I attended in London,http://picasaweb.google.com/michela.messineo said that, in the case of Orangutans, the problems of Illegal Logging, Pet Trade, & Bushmeat consumption, were already present some decades ago. As the indigenous man used to cut one valuable tree in the middle of the Forest (thus a "RETAIL" effect), & this resulted even beneficial for the Forest that could restore itself...But everything changed with the advent of Palm Oil!! Corporations are destroying 300 football fields of Rainforest every hour in Sumatra & Borneo ("WHOLESALE" effect) =COMPLETE & DEFINITIVE DESTRUCTION!!!!

Please... Invite & Spread the word!! All together we can make a difference!! Hugs!! michela
