You know what every one, I read all the post so far & we all think how can any one possibly do this to dogs. This happens as well in China & Korea! In Canada & the US we do the same to chickens, pigs, cows. This should be a WAKE UP call for every one of us, that killing is evil, we do not have the God given right to go around killing another life! Plain & simple! None of us are without fault here unless you do not consume any type of flesh from any kind of animal. For us to eat meat, an animal has to give up his life! This taught just makes me sick! Just the taught should makes one think, NEVER EVER AGAIN. We all proclaim to love animals so very much, but we still continue to eat their flesh, that to me is two face! We all have choices to make with so many alternative options to choose from. There is absolutely NO REASON or EXCUSE to ever take another's life by killing. We all have so many variety of choices & we would all be in better health for it. This would & could be a win/win all around for us & our animals friends. We can do this if we choose!

Yes I find this appalling as well. Barbaric comes to mind as well as horrendous. To us and many over the world eating dogs or cats is disgusting to us. But think of this some countries keep their 'cows' holy and no matter how starved they are will not eat them. These people would consider us and the other countries that eat beef barbaric and that we use horrendous means of killing our cows for meat to eat. But since we are the majority we fight for the lives of animals we consider domestic and should not be eaten. The petition is signed and forwarded on to my family and relatives..

Despicable and vile! I have signed the petition, of course. To Deloris and others who have made the point that we are no better than them, what with the barbaric treatment of food animals: Yes, I am aware that cattle, sheep and chickens (also horses in certain countries) are treated abominally cruelly; tortured and abused. This is why I have been a staunch vegetarian - almost vegan, i.e., no milk, no fish, no shellfish and only occasional guaranteed Free Range eggs - for well over 33 years now. However, it appears that a good many of these dogs that are killed and eaten in the Philippines (also in China!) are actually stolen PETS! They are much loved companions and family members. Cruelty is cruelty, wherever it occurs, and one crime does not negate another! Some of us are ALSO fighting the factory farming, the hen batteries - indeed, all consumption of animals - as well as the fur trade, lab. testing on animals and so on . . .

What about the Korean trade in dog meat. Foreigners and Koreans alike, dine in expensive restaurants to eat this delicacy. Please do not be under the misconception it is the weird, reclusive, northern Koreans (a false perception) who engage in this. It is all over Korea. From the upmarket Gangnam Seoul districts with Porche's and Ferarris to the countryside in South Korea. And the diners are from all over Europe and the United Kingdom, Australia, South Africa, etc.

Actually, in china they are stopping it with law.
It's already stoped in the philipines- it's just that SOME people don't obey the law.
calling and entier people not human is a bit harsh, specially when this is the sort of thing they have been brought up with.
Let me give you an example- There once was a young boy called cooper. almost 2 years old. He would hit the other kids in the childcare center and we actually had to resort to timeouts which is the last thing we want to do. We couldn't figure out the problem. Then we saw somthing- he hit his mother and she laughed. She had been teachiing him that hitting was a positive behavior.
just as many people from the asian region have been taught that to Kill an animal in an inhumane way, such as skining it alive, makes it taste better.

I have seen that same photo since I was in my 20's. Now in my 50's & this is still going on ! How on earth can we end this horror? I will of course once again sign with my heart.
