ROTFL After Vick's four-minute speech, a rep with the Humane Society of the United States went up to the podium to retrieve his microphone, and found the note left by Vick containing his talking points.

I agree, the only thing he's sorry for is getting caught. If he didn't get caught he'd still be doing it. The only apology I'd accept is if he exposed everyone else involved in dogfighting and gave his millions to animal rights groups. Oh and he'd have to become and activist too.

I think it is great that we got to see what he is about. It wasn't about being sincere-that's for sure! The sentence at the bottom is the only mention of the dogs. in a little corner was scribbled, "Dogs have suffered." You bet they did! He is dispicable!

looks like a man full of guilt pulling around chains with his legs , this is what is needed to be felt for all the pain and toutore he put the dogs through. Add 5 yrs of prison time no more NFL sounds like a good furture for him. A whole lot better than what he gave to his Dogs that he was to love and take care of, They were Gods animals.

I was laughing until the end.... he never apologized for what he did to those poor dogs! I was waiting for it when I watched his speech..waited and waited... and all he said (towards the end) was, "dog fighting is a terrible thing" and something about letting kids down. To add, there was no sincerity in it either. I agree, the only thing this creature was guilty of was getting caught! I don't believe this scum for a minute. And, Tammy, he's a beautiful man alright...I like that. More likely, he'll be everyone's bitch in prison. Like Colleen says, "Pretty Boy, Pretty Boy."

ARE WE REALLY SURPRISED? He killed in cold blood and frankly it did not dawn on him that he should feel guilty and should apologize to the dogs.\
This guy is sorry he got caught. Sorry he got caught and it is costing him money, sorry he got caught and got caught lying to people who were trying to be loyal to him. Sorry he screwed up his contracts and sponsoring. Sorry if he might have to go to jail.
I never heard of Vick until this story came on Care2. I realize now he wasn't worth my knowing about.
His great value is that he has rallied the American people who did not realize that dog fighting really does take place and that there is a lot of money in torturing animals.
Thank you June for letting me know about this.

Vick isn't sorry, he certainly has no remorse. He didn't even mention the dogs that have suffered at his hands. Vick feels bad that he got caught and nothing more, I also believe that the other player whose name escapes me now, who was involved in dog-fighting before Vick, should also be kicked out of the NFL, I sincerely believe that anyone in the NFL with felony convictions shouldn't be playing. That includes those who beat their wives and girlfriends etc. There is no place in this world for those who would bring harm to another, human or animal.

$ 5, 1000.00 ?! :::Laughs::: Well, I suppose that would be about equal to the " winnings " on at least one of those " fights " . :::smirks ::: Prety juvenille , those notes , particularly the obvious afterthought of the suffering dogs...which he , of course , neglected to mention in his oh-so-sincere speech . Tis to laugh.....

He couldn't "think" of what to say naturally? He Needed NOTES? Hello? He had to have cheat notes or he would have forgotten how to say he was sorry? Rightttttttt! He is so sorry all right, but not the way he wanted people to think-this explains why he sounded like he was reading the words without any inflection or meaning- he was! Noted.

I don't think the note is phony.
What a wake up call and nerves.

I more admire that he made the effort to apologize and recognized if is far more unacceptable than he ever imagined. That kind of reality would require notes to begin atonement.

apologize. The six-point speech calls for him to "apologize for what I've done;" apologize to his coach and team; tell young kids that "I acted immature;" ask for "forgiveness and understanding;" "take full responsibility for my actions;" and remind people that "we all make mistakes."

At the very bottom of the note was a reminder that "dogs have suffered."

which, as the HSUS blog pointed out, would have been his famous Number Seven = 7. Dogs have Suffered - how ironic.

Well everyone should know by now Lamargo must get her 2cts. in, so I left a comment on site. Thanx for the post. Now I'll say here, "The time has come that a special Marality clause" should be inserted into the contracts of these bozo sports stars pretaining to their influence on kids. Break contract go to the back of the class where they came from.

I think, this sorry excuse of a man is trying to get some sympathy from the public. Personally, we should tar and feather him, chip him (so we can track him and redo the tar and feather bit) and then jail him for a very, very long time.

Blue Bunting (855)
Thursday September 6, 2007, 11:24 am
Michael Vick could get alot of sympathy and compassion fro me if only he would donate eery cent of the $12 million profit to an animal shelter, rescue center, ASPCA ... to make restitution for the money he made fromhis cruelty and torture and murder of animals!

Not until that time!

The only reason he is apologising for anything is because he got caught. I don't believe for a minute he feels remorseful for what he has done.

He should put his money where his mouth is and donate the profits he made from dogfighting to a pitbull shelter or similar.
BTW the note has reached 10.500 dollars!!

how pathetic!!!!!!!!!!! For my part he can make a million apologies, for me he's bad seed. I feel sick when people who has loads o' money can get away with everything they want. Respect is free, it comes fromthe heart and is pure!!!
