don't forget that every cat has his/her own personality and there are many other spots you should check out. 2 of my boys love their belly rubs, another hates them.

Thank you! I am mad about my cat & want to make her feel as good as she makes me feel! She is so sweet and cute and smart and elegant and fun and gentle and warm and cuddly and funny and sensible and open minded... well, I could go on all day! I love cats and have 3 right now. I agree with all the sweet spots. And "elevator butt" LMAO! but so true! I also, like Les, rub bellies and they like it, especially my little girl who rolls over on hher back so I have unfettered access. One thing that I tell my furkids is "gentle, gentle". I NEVER pet hard and fast because I think that promotes aggression. I also massage their paws which most of the time they like. I started that when they were babes.

My cats are very long, solid, and have big feet --- am I ever glad I don't have to buy them Nikes! They weigh 20.25 lbs (girl), 25 lb s(boy) and 28.6 lbs (boy). The 2 boys will be 5 in mid April, and their sister from the same parents as the boys, will be 5 yr at the end of August. There is nothing finer than the love and respect of cats! My cats even groom me by licking my hair which is shorter than their fur.

My house is run for the comfort and convenience of my cats!

Love my kitties & have had many in my life but there have been a few who like their belly scritched ~ but They let you know When & for How Long. So - Pay Attention!

My cats have learned to love having their bellies rubbed. One of my cats likes to head butt me. He used to bite my nose but luckily he's given that up ;-)
