Thanksgiving is a traditional holiday that we hold on to where families gather together to give thanks for all the blessings they have received throughout the year. It is also a time to get together with family that live too far away to see...

Why? Several other retailers are already opening Thursday afternoon. If one gets to do it they all do. So why does Kohl's have to stay closed?

I seem to remember that last year some stores were letting their employees have the day off--or at least most of it. But they were making them go in at ten o'clock or even midnight to set up for Black Friday. It's just getting worse, isn't it?

The dinner that saved the Pilgrims lives, great. We call it "Thanksgiving", I'll bet the Indians call it, whatever the Indian words are for "Big Mistake". They save our lives, teach us how to live off the land, allow us to hunt and fish, gather delicious fruits and vegetables. We reward them by stealing their land, murdering them wholesale, destroying their holy places and running them off their land to places they can't make a living. Then we intentionally give them blankets contaminated with the SmallPox Virus. And we have the gall to celebrate it as "Thanks". Want to earn a livelihood on this day? Good, do so without the guilt.

Who the hell is "WE" white man?

No.. I did NOT steal anybody's land, give anybody blankets with small pox. murder anyone wholesale, or destroy anyones holy places.

So? Stuff your guilt trip in a turkey. I take responsibility for what I do, and not buying into bullshit I have not done.

Kohl's - Please let your employees have the day off to be with their families. People will come out to shop will still make the money you would have made had you been open Thanksgiving.
You will be home with your families giving thanks for all you have...let them do the same, please.

I feel the same about Boxing Day (2nd Christmas Day) I the UK. Why can't the sales start on the next day, and give a lot more people the traditional 2-day holiday? If we spend our money on the 26th, we haven't got it to spend on the 27th.
