Corporate Media Really Has It Out for the Idea of Paying People a Decent Minimum Wage

Despite abundant empirical evidence that raising the minimum wage doesn't lead to job loss, the idea that it does is an article of faith among right-wing economists, and all too often the media report their theological musings as fact.

Watch this and ponder the quote statistic:
Mark Blyth: "Global Trumpism" And The Revolt Against The Creditor Class

In 2015, Wall Street Bonuses, not regular compensation, bonuses, seven years after they were bailed out with the public purse, totaled $29.4 billion dollars.

Total compensation paid to every single person in this country who makes minimum wage totaled $14 billion. I'll stop there...

The media and politicians have been lying about the job market since the mid-1990s. Most of America has been in a Depression GreatER than the Great Depression yet the people who CAN help won't.

It's good that this author, Harold Meyerson, exposes this very sloppy journalism for what it is. It offers "evidence" to support an invalid point that actually contradicts it. It's important to keep a critical eye open when reading material that supports one's preconceptions, or in this case of a Right-wing article, doesn't actually even do that! It's hard to believe that such a piece even made it past the editor of the Financial Times.

Don't you just love it. They want folks to work and then not pay a living wage or provide government subsidies to help them subsist. So, not even a government subsidy for their business model is enough.

What's left? Why not just come out with the truth and endorse and promote and bring back slavery.
