"Save the bees!" From Costco campaigns to your local tree hugger, this phrase has been tossed around a lot lately in the news and in the media. But if you thought it wasn't important, think again.

Heartbreaking to think that our "government" has allowed toxins to continue to this extent. :(

It's unfortunate that a top 10 list was needed. You'd think #1 would be enough...

Meanwhile our pitiful Gov's just keep on approving pesticide after pesticide. Only a couple on the list i'd love to see disappear otherwise the world stands to lose over 65% of it's food sources. thx Freya

Bees are so much more than only pollinators and it really disgusts me, that a greedy company is worth more than these precious and in many ways useful animals. I really hope Monsanto dies before them!!!
At all Insects are disappearing in a enormous speedful way, but they are needed - because they also feed all the beautiful birds.

As serious as I think the problem is, I don't think all these things will be eradicated.....there are other pollinators and methods of pollinations, things will be a lot worse but not gone.......of course, this doesn't mean we can just give up trying to stop environmental destruction

Put seeds in your pockets and in your car so that when you get out and walk somewhere you can distribute milkweed, clover, any perennial will do even veggies. Don't wait for any one else to do it . ACTION

only few days ago: The Federal government warns of a devastating insect to die in Germany. In Parts of the country, the inventory of insects have been reduced since the year 1982 up to 80 percent. I believe humanity has still not realised yet that she has an existential problem.... but who cares... thank you for sharing Freya

Brilliant to read all about the big issues with all our lives and planet if Bees die. We have to make posirive stands to be respectful of our "Animal Kingdom" Humans need to stop being Greedy trying to interfere with the Nature in it's cycle. Intime it shall hav influences upon us with negative consequences! Bees are perfect if left to live as nature intended. We need to observe and learn :) thankyou

For Tina
"We should applaud ourselves for being the most intelligent species on earth!"

Agent Smith: I'd like to share a revelation that I've had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species, and I realised that you're not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment; but you humans do not. You move to an area and you multiply, and multiply, until every natural resource is consumed and the only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer on this planet, you are a plague, and we...are the cure.

The Matrix.

We are NOT the most intelligent species on Earth; not by a country mile.
