So animal researchers are complaining that ferry companies and airlines, responding to the peacefully expressed concerns of their customers, are opting out of transporting animals for laboratories. Animals imported for research actually represent less

Any kind of animal testing is WRONG, we are living in a technological world with computers that do everything for you, you do not need to test on animals!!

Wow, did anyone read all the pro-vivisection comments posted on that article? Incredible amount of hatred for animals rights people and anyone who would dare take away their right to torture animals for fun, profit, and, oh yes, science...

Are humans ever used in research to find cures for animal illnesses and injuries?

There are absolutely alternatives to animal testing, computer modeling. We know all the metabolisms and biologic systems from all the research animals used. In fact most animals and humans as well. Caveat, expensive. Why pay programmers(dual majors, Biology and Computer Science) to produce these biolgic program systems when cheap, disposable, living computer model will suffice? This is known to ALL researchers. This is why I went into microbiology instead. I don't have any concience trouble sterilizing a petri dish of E.coli.

People who hurt animals are sick. I believe they are all psychopaths hiding behind the guise of science.
