This is all wrong. How can people condone this and live with themselves?

My dream is to see my girls become me, helping the victims of sex slavery. Most of the girls do indeed want to be just like her. They help with her work, educate people, visit girls in brothels, share their stories and sometimes assist in raids on brothels, comforting the girls who are being rescued.

Thanks very much for sharing this story--how sad, though, we have to read about this type of despicable activity going on in this world.

Men in these backwards countries have managed to this day to keep their women enslaved. There has been some progress but much too small. Any country that participates in the United Nations should be made to show that there is progress in their treatment of females or be penalized in some way.

How a family can sell their own daughter is unbelievable to me. Somaly is a very strong woman. God bless her.

Somaly is a very brave woman. I commend her for standing up and being so courageous. I pray that these type of acts would come to an end. It makes me sick reading about how these young girls are abused. Thanks Agnes

I salute you Somaly.for the extreme ordeal that she went through, no doubt she has become a very strong woman now... it's really sickening reading articles such as these.i'll storm heaven that such inhumane and abuse these women and children are subjected to be put to a halt already.

We must remember that "the backwards countries" are not alone in this practice. A case in point is the story about the three women held in captivity for more than 10 years. There are those in the U.S. that not only condone slavery, but are practicing it. Prostitutes, Farm Hands, Domestic Workers etc are being exploited by these bullies.

This story made me cry.
Only humans can be so vile.
In the animal kingdom, even the wildest animal will not rape a baby.
These men need to crawl back under their rocks and die.
