This petition calls for the government of America as well as the United Nations and the African Union to send a real peacekeeping force to the region and to increase aid. If they won't stop the Janjaweed, they may as well try to stop the refugee crisis...

"I ask you today to sign this petition to raise awareness into something that we have known for many years. The Darfur region of the Sudan is still a war zone, and despite the "Government aid", war has spread to Chad, causing another refugee problem and creating a second Chadian Civil war. This petition calls for the government of America as well as the United Nations and the African Union to send a real peacekeeping force to the region and to increase aid. If they won't stop the Janjaweed, they may as well try and aliveate the refugee crisis"...

Maybe your life is so complicated that you do not have time to care?...But then again what is life?...Many people are vastly less better off than you...Would it not be in your best interest to help them?...Perhaps a moment in time to sign this petition would not hurt you in any way?...It is only time that will heal you...There is not enough time for the dead and dying in Darfur!

Signed and noted. I'd guess that part of our lack of involvement is somehow related to oil issues.

What is mentally wrong with the Janjaweed? How can people do such violence to other people? Have we all gone mad? As David Buchan said: "Maybe your life is so complicated that you do not have time to care?...But then again what is life?..." Life is beauty and love, and being grateful to whoever/whatever gave us the opportunity to try and make this world a better place. The Janjaweed and others - must be forced to see the beauty that exists in the world, and then they will also realize the extent of their own insanity.
