Why are such Monday morning reflections important? The answers are obvious. Vietnam is still embedded in America's national psyche. As a people, we have never successfully put the encounter behind us. Is the slaughter in Afganistan and Iraq justified?

Perpetual War and War Crimes is NO WAY TO GO THROUGH HISTORY!

The U.S. is a nation of warmongers and home of the largest arms industry in the world. It is no wonder that the Military Industrial Complex runs our government and media so they can orchestrate their perpetual wars for perpetual profits... Nothing is more profitable than war. Dealers in death and pain, that is the U.S. legacy.

We are ashamed on an unconscious level at the very least, but some of U.S. are really fed up and angry at the lack of critical thinking and passive acceptance of our corporations of death profiting from millions of people dying and corrupting our government.

Vietnam is the black stain that shows corrupt capitalism is as bad as corrupt communism. Our socialist experiment in democracy has been usurped by the rich and powerful who have no interest in preserving humanity, only their wealth and power counts.

Human nature is people's biggest asset to dream beyond our baser macho competitive and morose warrior goals to see a world without religion or war, but today we are barely able to maintain our existence in the face of mass murdering weapons that can lead to our own extinction.

The whole story behind the invasion of Iraq,as pretended by the GWB administration, have proved the reality behind the invasion. The lies of the administration and the involvment of the US congress based on false information created by GWB ,Dick Chenny and company. The GWB administration is responsible for all the violence in Iraq.More than 4400 innocent american soldiers and more than 1400000 Iraqis. And the result for US is ZERO.America must learn and the only way to achieve this is that those who pushed USA to lead that invasion to Iraq, namely the Bush administration and zionism, must be tried and get punished otherwise the ignorance and greed will prevail.

Time to put the past behind us.. if we dwell on the failures of Vietman, we will carry this into Iraq and Afganisatan... whilst you are there, encourage the boys in uniform... it is a sad state of affairs, I don't like war myself..but lets try to be positive as we reflect on this.. especially on a Monday morning.. even if we do not agre on the way the government has implemented their duties.. we have to do it for the sake of our boys that are over there

There is no reason for them being there. They should be brought home. If this is allowed to continue more will die for absolutely nothing along with more and more Afghanis. If the US loses face because Bush got into an unwinnable conflict, well tough! It is better than losing more soldiers and Afghani civilians year in, year out. What threat is there to the US or the UK from Afghanistan? It is beyond comprehension. I am told in this country that being in Afghanistan makes the UK safer. How exactly? Anybody could organise a terrorist attack from anywhere. The notion is ludicrous. Just the lastest attempt at justifying the unjustifiable. It really is an insult to our intelligence.

Every time we kill another person in their country their family and friends HATE THE U.S. MORE! We are breeding terrorism with our wars.

Why do you think they just busted a group of Afghan men who are believed to be engaged in a terrorist plot? Their motive is our killing their countrymen, women, and children.

"An eye for an eye and the whole world goes blind." Gandhi

Nothing changes till things change. As dumb as this sounds it is true. We have to stop military actions and military corporations from profiting from war and death NOW! We have to mature beyond the mentality of Rome and Hitler to be human or humane and live in a world of ethics and values instead of bullets and bombs.

We are a primitive species who have just learned to mass murder each other and we still have sky god religions and use sticks that throw rocks-guns, because we are still cave men... "Grow up or die." Bill Maher.

"Time to put the past behind us"...A lesson not learned and a license to murder men, women and children forever?...I don't like 'the war'/s either...Bring the 'boys' home before they too die for no reason at all...

The result for the US is a lot of OIL & OIL Pipelines, Minerals, precious stones, & obviously $$$$$$$$$$, and some new Colonies to Tyrannize over. THIS is why all the people are dying, they are being sacrificed. Its downright EVIL. Initiated and continued by those whose only religion and "God" is MATERIALISM.

"Peace cannot be kept by force. It can only be achieved by understanding." Gandhi

I am so fed up with the leaders rhetoric which never changes. “We fight to preserve the peace.” Lies of course.

If the US would just stop poking their nose where it is not required and dragging all willing brown nosed leaders with them into their disastrous wars the world would be a better place. I am surprised that the UK still sides with this bunch of losers...because the US has not won one war since the end of WW11...some record I would say...and to have them as allies shows singly bad taste...and of course it is our young service personnel and the Afghans that are suffering...we have had too much death, too much pain...

Time to put a stop to useless wars.

When the troops wake up to the fact they are only there as cannon fodder to prop up the profits of the military industrial alliance and also that they are all commiting crimes against humanity will be the day these crimes ends.

I think the US government (and whoever is behind them) have learned their lesson too well... only that the lesson is nothing else but an outrageous imperialistic stragegy of occupation, invasion and mass murder, backed up by enormous lies and fueled by uncontrollable greed.

They have no respect for human life whatsoever, inside or outside their borders. Ethics mean nothing to them.

They have become experts in that lesson and it seems no one can stop them. Except maybe the People (if and when enough of them wake up).

Who wants enemies when you have the U.S.A. for a friend? At one time they supported Sadaam and the Taliban. Destablisation and economic colonisation is the name of the game and the cost in human lives is of no consequence. The day when the warmongers will appear before a War Crimes Tribunal has not yet yet arrived, but eventually the time will come when the U.S.A. is no longer able to protect its criminals.

Well folks...The posting of this thread was not without reason...We currently have the testosterne filled General Mc Christ al requesting more troops (canon fodder) and another mindless surge in Afghanistan...

I guess the little man just wants to be in charge of a great big war?...He has already stated that in order to win the 'GAME' in Afghanistan, more bodies must be lost He didn't actually say that, but words to that effect...He did criticisze the German forces with being more concerned with protecting their own soldiers lives than sending them into dangerous situations!...Naughty or sensible Germans?...Stupid, narccisistic US General for not caring for his own?...

Obama has to make a terrible choice at this point...To go with the 'surge' or go with the flow of a war doubting American public...

Let's hope he makes the right choice and de-escalates rather than escalates another unwinnable war over the dead bodies of US kids, civillians and the rare body of the unknown enemy?

Time to bring home the troops...You betcha!

Thanks David. There is lots of us who don't believe in these wars but apparently our elected officials don't care what we believe anymore. Yes we can vote them out but then more are recruited by the new world order freaks! It's not just the US. As you see and will see, almost all your countries if not all, will be in the same boat as we are. They are planning to microchip everyone and this whole flu ordeal could be the path they have chosen.

I can understand wars like WW1 and WW11 because we were fighting against tyranny! Now wars are fought mostly over fossil fuels which is unacceptable in my book! It seems we are almost powerless anymore against the evil greedy rich people that are controlling this whole situation. Many of us truck on and spread the truth the best we can. Personally this time I think it's going to take Divine intervention to stop this power. I don't think we are dealing with only humans to tell the truth.

If you pray please pray for us and the whole world.

We started a slippery slope when our Country shifted from having an army to defend our own land to now defending the Corporate profits. These Elites pull the strings around the world and the majority of the people suffer.

Lobbies from the Military Industrial Complex (MIC) to reinforce their bought and paid for representatives make the laws and wars, not the people. People who support the war are TV educated by MIC Corporate Media puppets.

The "I learned everything I know from the TV" folks vote republican and for wars and are pro god. Oral Roberts' non-profit TV church made over a billion dollars in the lifetime of the TV god freak, but before he died he managed to take all the money his "church" earned and make it part of his private estate or property for his family...

Yes, America, send you children to TV justified wars, send your money to TV godz, and vote for the TV candidates that you are told to vote for in the name of your false godz... The history of stupid Americans is not nice, but what is amazing is that they do not seem to catch on to how big a bunch of suckers they are.

The war is everytime awful. When i see this picture , its so cruel,I have no words for to say. Everything what hurts people but firstly children is not to expect, not to agree. They have no respect for human life whatsoever, inside or outside their borders. Ethics mean nothing to them.
We must do more for to show that we are against the war. Against the war everywhere.
