'The Americans Killed Everyone. I Hate Them' - This 7 Year Old Child Asks "Why Do You Hate Us Enough to Kill Us"?

Afghan journalists go where few outsiders bother to go themselves. Last year an American airstrike called in by special forces who had Oliver North along as a Fox News embed (I am not making this up), killed upwards of 90 civilians. Is this good enough?

Yes Gorilly, it is a tired, sick and stupid society we live in...

If I so desired (and I surely do not) to recruit soldiers to attack the U.S.A. I would kill all their friends and relatives in the name of the U.S.A. and wonder why they so desired to attack me?...How stupid can stupid be?...

NO MORE WAR!...War solves NOTHING!...Although it does keep the global population down...But for the grace of *** this kid could be YOU!?

Lay down your arms, breathe in the air and thank *** it was not you!

War is a power trip that noone really wins. Death and carnage goes on both sides. Familys lose in the end....Yes I cringe at the thought of what my role in the Military has done. Thank goodness I was out before any wars were at hand.

War is for profit.

People that do not speak up are silently condoning it.

War would end if everyone that SAID they disagree with it actually stood up and made it perfectly clear that it must stop. But it's only a tiny, tiny percentage that actually do speak up and unless that changes we will have war until war kills us all.

Oh wait........I'm sorry.

How can I sit here and expect people to speak up when they have to go to Walmart and Circuit City and buy big huge tvs? That takles TIME to buy one and install it and they can't be bothered trying to make their government stop using their country's money and blood to take over other countries and shed blood.

And they are not only busy buying huge tvs, they are buying toxic chemicals to spray on their grass so they don't have any weeds.

And they need to go shopping for ipods and wii and iphones and then there are all those apps they have to download and learn to use and how about all the texting they MUST do because if they don't text constantly THEY ARE NOT COOL!

That takes TIME, I am so sorry Mr and Mrs American, I must have my priorities allmessed up.

How absolutely stupid of me.

There is always an agenda. It is never as presented. If we were there for any reason beyond our own self-serving interests, the campaign would look entirely different.

Collateral damage sucks, but it happens. But why is it happening? We aren't there for humanitarian reasons. We're there to continue to feed the crap attempt to justify our need to 'cut off the head' of all threat to our national safety. Ain't never gonna happen. If we'd stop being such global a-holes, other cultures, and their fanatics, would take a breath and not feel invaded.

We still allow missionary sorts to insinuate their/our beliefs, we come to rape their resources, we stomp forth in our arrogance under the guise of national security, we are bogus bs all the way.

Enough with sacrificing our our men and women in this absolute folly, enough innocent death.

Yes, call them, our pathetic leadership, out. I'm tired of the stupid arguments about the cost of health care when it is apparently just fine to spend obscene amounts on this no win effort. We are a power run amok. Our karmic price is spiraling exponentially.

Amazing that you should post ANYTHING by....how did you put that.....oh yeah FAUX NEWS? Apparently, they are only FOS when they report things that you do not want to see. Do any of you remember the way that these people were CELEBRATING in the streets when the towers went down? Even though I ABSOLUTELY agree that we do NOT belong there, I find it kind of ironic that when it is their loved ones going down WE are the animals. Guess that is kind of relative to the first part of my post though isn't it?

Pastor Tim Redfern (526)
Saturday October 3, 2009, 11:45 pm
They celebrated when the towers went down
because their hatred of the U.S. pre-dated 9/11,
which was an inside job, done as a pretext for
the war, and NO ONE in Afghanistan had the least
thing to do with 9/11, nor could they have. Use the
brain God gave you, and don't teach your granny to
suck eggs.

Too many civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan have died
in the last 8 years. People in this thread have stated
rightly that war is all about the money and the profiteers.
It is an over-simplification to say that the invasions/
occupations have been all about the oil, but the oil did have
something to do with it.

As activists, as people who are dedicated to Peace,
and an end to all war, we have a responsibility to
speak out against these wars, and to do all we can to
hasten their end. We may not succeed, and we certainly
will not be able to end them as quickly as we'd like,
but here's another aspect to our activism:
We must speak out against the wars, and have our names
publicly listed with those who say "no more war", and
"not in my name". Our responsibility is to the children,
such as the little girl above, to all the civilians who
have needlesly and horribly died in these invasions &
occupations. We will find opposition in our own countries,
from people who continue to believe (8 years later) that
Osama bin Forgotten and his 19 cavemen did 9/11, but if we
have the courage of our convinctions and beliefs, this kind
of opposition means less than nothing.

Thanks you kindly, David.

The mentality of the people who think that 9/11 was an "inside job" will never cease to amaze me? How did you ever learn to use a computer? These people celebrated in the street because they were 100% in support of Osamma and for 8 years have been stabbing us in the back, but this has been a war that they started, they did not feel any remorse for the young lives that they cost us, and THEY are the animals who send their OWN CHILDREN to deliver bombs! And although I think that we dropped the ball in Afghanistan a LONG time ago and it is time to get out, ask yourself this: Did that little girls PARENTS tell her WHY we are there? Or are they fueling the hate in hopes of training another child bomb delivery tool?

I read the news article. How horrific.War is always disaster as far as I am concerned. It is always innocent people who get killed during war.I would never ever start a war.Never! And I believe all of you who have commented agree that war is evil! I most all of your comments. My grandson who is 5 is standing her with me and I am discussing this article with him.He saw the photo of the little girl as he walked by.He is now going through all of his little stuffed toys and wants to give all of them to her! i wonder why it is still going on in Afghanistan,i really believed that President Obama would make his troops leave the soonest the best, nothing to do with 9/11 for me,neither in Irak!so the same policy is going on,

Raymond the mentality of those who refuse to investigate the facts regarding 9/11 being an inside job in some form or fashion never ceases to amaze me! You coming here with ad-hominem attacks, telling us how you do not know how we ever came to use a computer is beyond insulting. So you are the type of person who thinks because "they" danced in the streets somehow makes more slaughter OK??????? Our Blood is more precious than theirs?? It's Ok in your eyes too slaughter people for dancing or believing differently? That justifies in ur eyes the killing of this little girls family??? ... What about the family members of the victims of 9/11 who question the official conspiracy theory? They stupid in ur eyes as well?
How about the firefighters who question it? The Lawyers? the psychologist? The first responders? The architects? The physicists? They all to dumb as well in your eyes? People like you astonish me with their capability of deep denial for most of the time when they say they have investigated The Truthers I end up hearing about the fringe element they looked at.. regarding no plane nonsense and not the actual science involved on 9/11.
Do not tell me a Native American Woman that our government is not capable of murder for profit.,and don't come back and tell me that death and blood is justifiable just because they were celebrating American deaths and do not come back and speak to me about how it is OK to disregard one of the ten commandments just because our government said so! You go here first before you come back with nothing more than ad-hominem attacks.

What a very sad story. And this is only what we know of. How long will this be able to go on? It is sad to say that the American Government and it's secret organisations have fallen for the same evil that ruled the Roman Empire and Eqypt and many Civilisations before them. It is only a matter of time until they will fall. They will eventually self destruct. Everything that does wrong goes through a self clensing cycle - call it Karma or whatever you like. God is only good and will always stay on top. I feel very sad for the Americans and the rest of the world that have allowed themselves to become corrupted with lies and Propaganda of the media that they own - in order to feed their greed and Hunger for Power. They have no conscience and will not stop at anything. They want a total control of the World - they will not get it! Just as hundreds of Civilisations before them did not get it. What a pitty that our Planet has come to this. If only they would have controlled greed and focused their Energy on building harmony. Human Beings are not bad by nature but they can be corrupted over many years. These people have used everything in their Power to corrupt mankind over the past 2000 years. They use Churches, the media, Television, Computers ANYTHING! - and the people fall for it... All we can do is to stay good, have true faith in GOD - not in Churches but in God, trust Him with all your heart and soul because when everything starts falling appart he is all we have and it doesn't matter what we call our Superior being he is the same for any religion on earth there is no difference, all our souls come from the same Energy who created everything - There is no Religion that is right or wrong there is only our superior Energy from which all living beings originate. It is Hell on earth and when we die we are in Heaven. I am so very sad for all the Children and people that have to suffer right now - all we can do is keep having faith, don't give up hope that all this will come to an end at some time. Mankind will go back to a level playing field again at some stage where ALL will be equal again and we will have another chance to do it better and differently. Phew!!! that was a lot on my chest but it does come from the heart.

TX, Faith, David, & Carsten; the three of you have spoken eloquently. Faith, you're right on the correlation between Afghanistan and 9/11; and, sadly, Raymond S. still doesn't get it after 8 long years. He and those like him are too blinded by media propaganda of hatred to actually do the research and investigate the events of 9/11 as the really happened.

Raymond, are you prepared to explain to this poor little orphan why her family was wiped out? What will you tell her?

Bruce Anderson (30)

This is a very touchy subject for you can have no adequate excuse for war, in particular inept statements such as, "Well in any war, it is always the innocent who suffer." Of course it is, so in reference, why have wars?

There is no consolation in warring. We are in Afghanistan though, because the Taliban in protecting al-Qaeda, not only wish us harm, but did do harm to us. With man's aggressive side, you cannot sit back and say "Oh Well" and expect the world to respect you and leave you alone.

Personally, I hate wars and vehemently detested and protested the Bush Administration's Iraqi occupation using our military and their lives for their corporate greed and benefit. But, in my personal life I always go by don't challenge me if you expect the challenge to not be met. Afghanistan parallels this personal conviction, for the Taliban and al-Qaeda initiated this war, so now, hopefully, the USA will finish it. At least the Obama administration is trying to be humane injecting more control over bombing populated citizen areas, but unfortunately in war situations, in particular in these days, where the war isn't fought on battlegrounds, but instead the enemy hides behind civilians, stories like these tragically will appear.

I'm going to be selfish here, but I'm just glad an American child hasn't had to express this sentiment yet, but if you leave al-Qaeda alone to bid their doings, that American's child's sentiments will be broadcast I'm sad to say.

Time To Break Silence -- Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Mr. Raymond S., your ignorance and apathy is typical of the right wing undereducated lunatics that haven't a clue as to the where or why of Afghanistan. We armen Usama bin Ladn to fight the Russians he learned our ways quite effectively. You dare call this childs dead family members 'Animals' indeed it are animals that have grand heart. We lost almost 3000 when the Towers came Down, not all were American you buffoon. We dare call the murder of 1.2 MN Iraqi civilans 'Collateral Damage' what do you term this? Now we are in Afghan-Paki-stan in a Sectarian conflict which is due to the 'Poppy', indeed whom doesn't know how to use the 'Internet Box'? You somehow feel your blood bleeds a deeper red because you aren't Muslim or you never read the Qur'an and misunderstand the transliteration of jihad? You aren't aware if the peace throughout this Holy Book? Apparantly not because, 1. A Muslim doesn't murder another Believer 2. Followers of al Islam never murder inside a cami(mosque) 3. And absolute cok ayip to mudrer a Muslim in a Mosque during Ramadan. If you understood an iota of al Islam you'd realize al Qaeda, Taliban or Jundallah are NOT true Muslims never you mind what you've been told nor what they say because they've totally disobeyed the Law of Allah.
Not Silent Speak the Truth, you took away from this childs right to grieve. Who gives a damn in her world about big a** TVs or toxic weed sprays? Huh? This child is owning her grief that which we perpetrated on her Nation leaving her parent-less. The Poppy which is causing such egregious atrocities in Afghanistan, the tribes are so massive one cannot remember even 10 names of Tribal Regions. The Taliban are becoming more irrelevant as hours pass and bin Ladin even more irrelevant. Yet McCrystal wants to deploy bazillions more troops to murder and be murdered. Stop it now, bring them home. Enough, enough...

Would "We" love the killers of our loved ones? I think not. The killing fields are running with the blood of innocence. A reasonable person cannot abide by the US killing innocence for any reason.. This does not make US free. It does not make US safe! If you have a conscience it imprisons! I am sick of the children being made to suffer because of the folly of ruthless business men! Barbara/founder/dtdn

Barbara W. (185)

Why are "We" there Raymond? Iraq was not behind 9/11. "We" under GHB after Desert Storm sanctioned Iraqis to death. No joke or pun meant. Medicines that could save children were not allowed in. Whatever Saddam was he was our monster get that through your head! We supplied the chemicals/gas meant for Iranians, which killed the Kurds at the Iran/Iraq border.. When we laid down restrictive sanctions "We" gave no thought to the children or the other innocence we would be killing/torturing/maiming/etc. So please don't patronize US with your lack of real understanding about this illegal war we were lied into..War is a killer when necessary! It becomes a murderer when it's not!

Barbara W. (185)
Sunday October 4, 2009, 5:21 pm
I aired my frustration on our illegal war in Iraq because since we began this carnage, the killing of innocence, it has laid in the pit of my stomach like acid eating away at my soul.

The reasons we're in Afganistan, killing their children and loved ones, is also an ugly idea. Al Gaida goes back many years during a time when they and the Talibon did what we wished them to do..Push the Russians out! They did! After the Russians went broke and left, somewhere, the signals, call it what you will, between Rumsfeld, the US and these factions, got crossed.

Now innocence, like this child, are in the range of America's killing machines. I have been at this for a very long while and I do know that it is getting to me.. My heart aches because no matter what "We" American's say, do, write, rally, our legislators do as they damn well please and pretty much give US the finger. It's time to get that thorn out of our behind and do whatever "We" can to "Give Peace A Chance"...Like Michael Jackson said via his lyrics "Heal The World" and he gave US grave warnings in his song "Earth Song"

Are some Americans so far gone that the only solution they can come up with to any problem is Tanks, Missles, bullets and now DRONES which do not,in the least, discriminate! Thanks David. When all is said and done "It is about the children"

Barbara, I must agree with what you say.I am so frustrated with my elected officials I could scream!I have five grandsons and worry daily about how many of them will be fighting in wars for nothing more than polical gain. I do believe we went into Afghanistan for a valid reason and may some progress for people, mainly women, in that country who were oppressed. We had the opportunity and duty to do more which would have helped the people. Unfortunately, we had a militaristic president who had a personal agenda to start an unprovoked and unnessary war! Now there is nothing we can do in Afghanistan except harm the innocent. If we want to go down in history as the greatest war mongering democracy of all time, we are certainly achieving that!

So long as mankind lives on this planet there will be wars and non-combatants will die. But the numbers have dropped at an astonishing rate when you consider that during WW2 somwhere between 22,597,200 to 25,497,500 civilians lost their lives, not counting the victims of the holocaust.
As for 9/11 being an inside job, you believe that you'll believe anything. Yeah and someone told me that Pearl Harbor was staged by the CIA to start another round of profiteering by uncle sam.

A different war? What is that suppose to mean?

No! You are being insensitive towards an issue which many folks feel strongly about. Some of US come from military families and have had a loved one destroyed because of a lie and the lack of decent rehabilitation once they came home. The loved ones pay dearly as well..

Unless you've been in the trenches with the rest of US you are nothing but a spoiler..

Settle down Barb, you'll burst a blood vessel.
No I'm not being insensitive, more realistic. I am from a military family and Australia had a lot of troops in Nam so we do feel for vets as well. But I was commenting on civilian causalities and how they have dropped dramatically over time.

At last, "Joe Jones" has a face......
it's Raymond!

It was 9/11 which got me on the computer
for the first time in 2003.
When the towers collapsed, I was watching it
on live TV, along with millions of other people.
As the towers went down, I thought something was
very wrong, because they collapsed so cleanly.
In 2003, I got on the 'net, and began to do some
research. I have over 2,000 pages of material which
I printed out regarding 9/11, the thermite, the collapse
of the towers, the collapse of WTC 7, the manipulation
of NORAD and the Air Force, the multiple "hijack" scenarios
being run that morning, the impossibility of making a cellphone
call on a plane flying at speed and altitude...on and on and on.
To anyone who wonders "how I learned to use a comptuer",
that was how: by researching 9/11. It took me over two
years to complile those 2,000 pages. I used the brain
God gave me. Anyone who thinks 9/11 was done by Osama & Co.
is a complete drooling, mouth-breathing, short-bus riding
idiot, and I don't give a damn who I say that to.
How do ya like me now, Raymond?

Barbara W. (185)
Sunday October 4, 2009, 10:54 pm
Tom you and I are of the same opinion and we both watched the towers come down.. I was dumb founded. I turned on my TV just as the first tower was being struck. As the buildings came down I flashed on the only time I ever saw such a clean demolition. It was growing up in NY watching 6 story buildings deemed dangerous and in Las Vegas when some of the hotel/casinos were demolished. There was also that third building, on 9/11, which few talk about. The Towers were huge buildings by comparison which makes it more difficult to believe the 9/11 commission..

Mark Loazeaux, the CEO of Controlled

on 9-11-01, that the "collapse" of the towers
was "the most perfect controlled demolition
I've ever seen in my life".
Then, after some men in black got to him, he
shut his mouth about his opinions, and hasn't
said anything more about them.

Never hated anyone, much less a young innocent child. And how do you explain war to a child a war that most still cannot find a reason for which is not the propaganda we have been fed.
Thank you Paster Tim for your intelligent and valid thoughts on the subject.

To Carsten and Bruce, Thank you for your unbiased true and eloquently expressed facts of this dilemma. You are both correct.
To Rhoda O :
British Imam: ‘Why it’s Okay to Kill the Infidel’
“Because non-Muslims are never innocent, they are guilty of denying Allah and his prophet,” the Imam says, according to the report. “If you don’t believe me, here is the legal authority, the top Muslim lawyer of Britain.”

The lawyer, Anjem Choudary, backs up the Imam’s position, saying that all Muslims are innocent.

……”As a Muslim, I must support my Muslim brothers and sisters,” Choudary said. “I must have hatred to everything that is not Muslim.”
I do believe you know what an Imam IS?
enough said.
Barbara, we are talking about AFGHANISTAN not Iraq.
And Pastor tim,
I find it HILARIOUS that you would think 9/11 is an "inside job" (and also pathetic) yet fail to recognize the current disgrace and damage that the Obama administration is bringing to the U.S., not only is our "terrorist in chief" leaving thousands of troops without support and not pulling them out (knowing that they are dying) dividing America and gallivanting around the world trying to start more conflicts, yet you bury your head in the sand and cry about a war that these people started when Americans are dying! Are you an American??? And "thermite" is a mineral that is found in MANY metals, and in the ground if you scrape your own backyard you will find traces of it, if you take a grinder to your car fender you will find traces of it. But since you obviously don't do any welding I wouldn't expect you to realize that. As far as a neat collapse? yeah right, you watch to much TV. You should spend more time educating yourself about why WE are getting killed and STUCK in Afghanistan instead of "drooling" in front of your computer waitng for the "short bus"!

Gee this thing is really getting out of hand. Pastor Tim you are spot on. I'm backing you fully. Firstly to all of you. I am South African - I consider myself as very objective. I used to envy America as a Child and wanted to become an Astronaut. The more I saw the lies and deception of the Americans the more I started despising them - that is: not the people, but the Government and Secret Organisations. The bottom line is: To them it is all about the money. As they say: It's business. When the War in Angola broke out America convinced South Africa to send in our troops and promised to back us with Weapons - what happened? The South Africans were left in the dark and we ended up fighting a 30 year war - for what??? The people we fought against now rule Namibia and South Africa - Let me guess who gets all the Gold and Diamonds? If America is so humane then why did they not come to help in Zimbabwe? Because there is no money to be made!!!! Two weeks before 9/11 I dreamt about it. When it happened I knew what my dream meant. When I started telling people already then that it was an inside job - no-one agreed. Today there is so much Technical and Scientific proof that it is impossible to deny the facts.
Anyway why do you think Hollywood is so rich and has become so powerful? That is how America brought Russia to collapse. I learnt in National Intelligence that you break a country at it's smallest link - which is YOU! If you stirr up conflict in a family it ripples through to the whole of society and eventually through the country. Propaganda and Mind Control are the most Powerful weapons a country can have. The proof of it is obvious with the guys who commented here... The world has been Brainwashed and didn't even realize it. The Politicians are laughing their backside off behind the curtain because they know that the majority of people have by now been so stupified to keep falling for their tricks. They sell us a ticket to Hell in such a way that we even look forward to the trip. And I can assure you they already have the next thing lined up and will again sell it to the public as true. The Wolf will still wear Sheeps clothes.. Anyway enough said. I truly hope more people will wake up and realize how they are being taken for a ride and even pay for it.

"And Pastor tim, I find it HILARIOUS that you would think 9/11 is an "inside job"...

I find it very sad that you obviously did not take anyones advice, or take the time to check out the 'facts' and hilarious that you don't believe that which is before your very eyes Raymond...

"The world has been Brainwashed and didn't even realize it"...

Not the entire world Carsten, only the part of it subject to constant corporate/government (What's the difference?) driven media spin...Unable to avoid it and as a consequence, mindlessly in denial...Give me a child, under the age of 5 and I'll make it a Catholc for life type stuff?...Brainwashing works!...God bleess America. WHY?...Shut up, just do it we know best?

I also find it rather sad that it takes a seven year old ghild to ask the question we should all ask ourselves before mindlessly sending our own kids off to war purely to line the pockets of corporate greed and discernably nothing else...

There is a time to live and a time to die, but let's hope 'natural causes' are the reason for our death, not via war as legislated by a warmongering, money hungry bunch of corporate empire builders?

And Wendy...A very touching story and thank you for it...With a little luck and help from your wisdom your grandson will not grow up wishing war on anyone and also, with a bit of luck, this article is being shared with likeminded people who may see fit to educate their children as you, admirably, are doing for your grandson?

Carsten, What do you mean we "didn't help Zimbabwe"? Obama even with U.N. sanctions against Zim, sent 73 million dollars to Zim. The reason that Zimbabwe is starving is because "Mad Bob" has TAKEN the productive white farms and is not DOING anything with them! Except for the one's that his wife Grace owned, and now EVEN South Africa has stopped buying from her. I live in South Africa 6 months out of the year and am married to a South African who's family was run out of Zimbabwe when it was Rhodesia, so I am WELL aware of the situation in Zim. Zimbabwe was a very POOR choice to use as an example. Russia's demise was brought on by greedy and irresponsible leadership, the SAME THING that is happening to America right now! NOT by "Hollywood". I also might have forgotten to mention that there is thermite in many cement's that were used in the construction of the towers. But so that we do not get away from the post.. Yes, the world HAS and IS being brainwashed, by the same people who would bring you the 9/11 conspiracy theory, by the same people who idolize Beck, by the same people who ARE NOT DOING ANYTHING about being IN Afghanistan, by the same people who say that Iran is building nuclear weapons (when they are not) but it is OK for Isreal to posses them, by the same people who are preparing for a ground war in Nigeria ( "In order to secure the oil") since Hillary's trip was a flop. The current powers that be are trying to insure that THEY at ALL costs STAY the powers that be. We do NOT need to be in Afghanistan, so why are we still there?

Can't send Faith and others a star because I have done so in the last week! Building 7 definitely came down with explosives as it was NOT hit by anything else. I have seen them bring down many buildings with explosives and they come down straight at the joints, just like building 7 AND just like the twin towers.

Maybe Raymond works for the government? Oh well, everyone is entitled to their own opinions, so far anyway. When the new world order uses all the laws they made because of 9/11 and everyone is no longer free, maybe then the doubters will stand up and take notice of how we got to that place!
See this article;
http://www.jonesreport.com/articles/210207_rockefeller_friendship.html
I have also read about two Israeli groups, one in Canada and one in the UK, who knew about 9/11 before it happened but I can not find that article,:(
One always should ask who has the most to gain from crimes like 9/11. One such group is the new world order.

Malalai Joya, the fearless, outspoken critic of Afghan govt corruption, suspended from the Afghan parliament as the youngest Congresswoman (or MP), will be on a US tour to promote her new book, "Raising My Voice" (UK title) / "A Woman Among Warlords" (US title) from 10/26 to 11/27. She'll also be delivering an unequivocal - & uncomfortable- message unlikely to be well received by Barack Obama (wasn't much appreciated by Gordon Brown when she was in UK this summer) : Nato troops are NOT wanted in her country. She'll be in NY, DC, Boston, LA, SanFrancisco, Seattle, & a few other US cities, as well as Canada. See the schedule - Read a selection of reviews from the 'afghan women' s mission' site.

Malalai Joya will not be the only Aghan women's rights & peace activist in the States in October. Also from the Afghan's Women's Mission: Afghan Women Resist Occupation and Fundamentalism - RAWA Tour USA 2009:

1) Afghan Women’s Rights Activist Calls for an End to US Occupation

October 2009 - Press release -

Los Angeles – President Obama’s anticipated deployment of additional troops to Afghanistan is being justified in part by the Taliban threat to Afghan women. To mark the 8th anniversary of the start of Operation Enduring Freedom, a member of a prominent Afghan women’s rights group will tour the United States this month, with a different message to Obama and Congress: “liberation can only come from within – end the US occupation.” Read more

2) August 2009 - AWM News Announcement

Afghan Women's Mission is pleased to announce a nation-wide tour of Zoya, a member of RAWA, the Revlutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan, in October 2009, exactly 8 years after the start of the US war. Zoya will share the message of RAWA in New York, Washington DC, Boston, Iowa, Los Angeles, Berkeley, and San Francisco.

Bay-area based artist Doug Minkler, has created a special commemorative poster for the tour, shown at right.

Unlike the conspiracy theories surrounding the assasination of JFK...Why was Lee Harvey Oswald murdered before he could give evidence and why was his murderer, Jack Ruby also murdered?...I smell a CIA rat in the woodpile?...

Unlike the JFK conspiracy, the evidence for the 9/11 fiasco is there for all to see (Even though the twin tower site was conveniently shut down, the wreckage shipped out under cover of darkness, and accessible to only the 'chosen few')...THINK PLEASE!

To All who are trying to find the truth about 9/11.Don't forget that once Great Britain ,mandated over Palestine, stopped the Jewish immigration to Palestine and the Jewish Agency sacrificed a great number of Jews, who were on board of a ship waiting near the shore of Palestine an approval from the British authorities to bark with Jewish immigrants but was not given the OK.The only way that the Agency found to put pressure on Great Britain was to sink the ship and kill/drown number of its passengers.mission was accomplished and Great Britain opened Palestine again for Jewish immigration.Goal Justifies the means !!!! Was that exactly what the "BUSH and COMPANY "did on 9/11 ??????

Ever since the First Crusade in 1099, when the "Christians" recaptured Jerusalem and slaughtered 40,000 Moslem and Jewish in a two-day massacre, it has been the received wisdom of every little Moslem child that Christians are murderous infidels. Throughout the ages up to the present day in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan, involving a combined indiscriminate killing of about a million innocent men, women and children, that belief has been substantiated. It has naturally triggered retaliation such as 9/11. The killing will only cease when nations stop trying to impose forcibly their "better way of life" upon others to whom it is completely inimical. We may not like what we see in others, but they too may not like what they see in us. Even "Democracy" is not an ideal form of government in some lands. Live and let live. Call a halt to wildcat military adventures in pursuit of economic exploitation and "cultural colonisation".

"So long as mankind lives on this planet there will be wars and non-combatants will die. But the numbers have dropped at an astonishing rate when you consider that during WW2 somwhere between 22,597,200 to 25,497,500 civilians lost their lives, not counting the victims of the holocaust. "

Mmm.... someone's comparing the numbers of victims in a WORLD war, with the number of victims of in country attacked by another county. What a lame comparison. Not bright at all, really desperate... But some people just say anything to excuse the unexcusable. (especially trolls! ).

And please note that either Afghanistan or Iraq declared war against the USA (although it's what 9/11 was meant to make stupid people believe). So the only common point I see right now between WW2 and the US (illegal and unjustified) strikes against sovereign countries... is that the USA deliberately keeps attacking/planning to attack other countries, in spite of any international outcry, just like Germany did back then...

US, get out of there. If you can't do it for the sake of the Afghan or Iraqi children, at least do it for your own children.

Some great comments here.

Yes...

We don't need to be in Afghanistan and need to pull out altogether.

We don't need to be in any other countries and need to shut down military installations around the world.

We need to put that military money into our own people at home and build America for our people.

9-11 was an inside job.

UH Raymond..U said it is up to that girls parents to tell her why?? scuse me dear ..BUT HER PARENTS ARE DEAD ALONG WITH HER BROTHERS AND SISTERS SHE HAS NO FAMILY BUT HER GRAM ANYMORE THAT IS WHY THIS ARTICLE IS HERE. her parents cannot tell her anything unless they are coming from beyond the grave. Did you not read this article? here is the answer to the war in Afghanistan and if America was truly interested in something else besides NATO and conquest for the vast amounts of natural resources in that area THIS is what they would be promoting.
From an article at Truthout:
For over a decade, Sakena Yacoobi has worked for the welfare of her nation, particularly the girls and women of Afghanistan. The West can help with infrastructure, she says. But solutions for a better future must be forged with respect to a culture that is thousands of years old.

Sakena Yacoobi is on a mission. Her goal is to bring education to Afghanistan, a country that has a 70 percent illiteracy rate. Her main focus is girls and women. She believes education can ameliorate the ravages of 35 years—and counting—of war. She speaks with an urgency that emanates from that core conviction. To “build a better future for Afghanistan,” she founded the Afghan Institute of Learning in 1995. “Empowerment” is the key word in all of her NGO’s literature. Yacoobi, who serves as the chief executive of A.I.L., was one of 1,000 women to be nominated as a joint recipient of the 2005 Nobel Peace Prize. She is featured in Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl DuWunn’s new book, Half the Sky: Turning Oppression Into Opportunities for Women Worldwide.
Faith says
Education is the key to the Talibans loss of control in a region.

As far as the Thermite elements U were speaking of regarding the towers ..nice to know you went and looked and read a few things somewhere that is a start. Now then it wasn't just any ole thermite Raymond it was Nano-thermite and there is a vast difference between the two and it's composition. While regular thermite has been around for a long time and used in welding of Railroad ties and other strong steel beams..Nano -thermite is a completely different substance and is used in the mining industry research. It is highly energetic and there are several types.

(Reaction Kinetics and Thermodynamics of Nanothermite Propellants)to understand that nanothermite is new and being researched to develop new types of explosives. How did it get into the buildings ?well for about 3 weeks or more shortly before 9/11 there were "repairs" being done to the Twin Towers elevator shafts which are located close to the main concrete support columns. That is what has to be destroyed in a building in order for it to fall in it's own foot prints so saith demolition experts. If this main support is not demolished the building falls irregularly and can and often does come down in an incomplete collapse .Gravity taking it to one side or the other..even if the steel beams failed there would have been an irregular collapse from the buildings falling to the path of least resistance and leaving much of the buildings core structure intact. but that is not what happened. now like I said do the research regarding 9/11. also nanothermite is a powder which can be used and mixed in anything to create a "slurry" and can be painted on . DO the research!

9/11 was an excuse to get into the middle east, any country Iraq, Iran, Afganistan so that we could put military bases there and get control of the oil. If it had really been about getting the one's who were responsible then Osama would have been found by now, the military industrial machine don't care how many civilians die in their illegal occupation war of agression.

Thanks Marty!!! Now we're getting to the real thing. That is what I referred to as the secret organisations such as the Rockefellers, Oppenheimers, Rotschilds, Bin Ladens, Bush, Gates etc, etc, etc. Always keep your eye on the money then you know why and how things happen. In a very old book about the Rockefeller Family and the plan for World Domination it states: "Even if we have to sacrifice thousands of our own, we must never loose sight of World Domination" - go figure... Raymond I can see that in your latest post you have a lot of things right and might eventually see what we see - so hang in there!!! The path to truth is very complex and takes many years to convince the mind. Excellent choice to have married a South African. My point with Zim is if there was BIG money to be made there the Americans would find a "valid" reason to bomb the living hell out of Old Bob - on the other hand are all African Governments so easy to corrupt that it would be considered a waste of Ammunition as they in any case get what they want with a snap of a finger - they just park an Aircraft Carrier in front of our door for a few days...
Oh by the way I wonder why they had to get rid of Sadam Hussein so quickly - did he maybe know something that we should not know. And as for the Troops that have to do the dirty work. I have a lot of respect for them. I once had to see and deal with the methods that are used to condition people to become obedient and follow orders. I thank God that I can see beyond that and know that those poor guys are being pushed to believe that it is the right thing to do to give up their lives for a cause that only feeds the greed of certain few. We have lots of ex-vets in Namibia and South Africa that will never be the same again. Anyway I better stop as I have already stirred up a lot of emotions. All I can say is: the truth is all around us, our Subconscious is linked to all answers we just have to learn to listen and all answers will eventually seep through. Thanks to all of you guys for the Stars, hope I can send a few soon, It's been great Sailing with you all.

Yes thermite exists where you have aluminum and iron, but not usually in cement. The thermite in question from the World Trade Towers is nanothermite that is a molecular crystal of aluminum and iron that is bound together to form flakes or sheets that are so small you have to find them with a microscope. These crystal sheets do not form naturally and Steven Jones found these un-burned crystals in the 9/11 dust. Further analysis of them identified MILITARY GRADE THERMITE that does not occur naturally.

So how did the first 3 steel buildings fall in history if not by thermite? THERMITE and ....

Reagan gave US trickle down economics. It certainly trickled down, didn't it? Marty what was that thousand points of light GW the 1st spoke of? Never could figure that out. Then he mentioned "New World Order" in one of his speeches. Wow! That got my attention and dug a hole in my heart. "Shades of Nazi Germany"... GW the 2nd mentioned "Crusade" in one of his speeches...Of course while "We" had soldiers in harms way GWB "Dare" Mentioned a sore spot like the Crusades and also had the audacity to say, "Bring Em On".

Then "We" American's were given the Patriot Act and there's that Homeland Security thingy. The FISA Bill gave immunity to those who would "Dare" go against an American's right to privacy.... Folly or ignorance? No matter? This bizarre approach towards democracy, freedom and justice does not seem like our leaders were/are remotely looking for a meaningful dialog with Muslims nor protecting America from future attacks. And our Constitution has been dangerously compromised. Most of our elected officials are not honoring the "Laws of the Land".. The rights of the American people which many soldiers have given up thier lives for..is fading fast..We sent our soldiers to do a dirty job ill equipped. I guess we ran out of money after paying Halliburton, Blackwater et al...

Getting beyond the Bait and switch and Spin is crucial if truth is what "We" are sincerely after.

Are "We" doomed to repeat the sins and mistakes of the past? Seems so..

Behold I send you as sheep in the midst of wolves. Be ye therefore "Wise as Serpents" and Simple as Doves." - St. Matthew 10:16..

Celebrating Slaughter: War and Collective Amnesia

By Chris Hedges

War memorials and museums are temples to the god of war. The hushed voices, the well-tended grass, the flapping of the flags allow us to ignore how and why our young died. They hide the futility and waste of war. They sanitize the savage instruments of death that turn young soldiers and Marines into killers, and small villages in Vietnam or Afghanistan or Iraq into hellish bonfires.

Catherine, My fight for veterans goes back to when my brother came home from Nam and was treated badly by those who were now suppose to serve his needs..My family has looked after a Korean war vet, now 76, for the last 20 years which the military conveniently lost for 29 years. We pushed buttons..made calls. wrote letters for 2 years. This man was exposed to a White Sands test, woke up in a hospital then was sent overseas.

It took 2 years to get this man who served two tours in Korea much needed benefits. He was living in squalor. Rehabilitating him has been ongoing for 20 years with no assistance from the VA..The VA and SS wanted to lock him away...We still look after this man who was quickly forgotten when his services were no longer needed by a grateful nation..

Then there's a man I wish I had met sooner. My husband and I made a promise to Ed, on his death bed, that we would not let them, "THE SYSTEM" forget. This was a man who survived being a POW, came home to become an severely injured employee, suffered at the hands of an employer and system who could care less now that he was considered damaged goods. Ed ultimately died due to negligence.. So yes, I do care about our vets...They are only employees being asked to do a dirty job.. DTDN fought for our veterans latest GI Bill! My phone is open to any returning vet or family member who needs assistance..

Catherine you said:
Does anyone really think these Countries that hate us give a damn about all the children who are now fatherless b/c of wars. I think not.

Do "We" care that because of an illegal war "We" are leaving tens of thousands of children in the Middle East orphans, armless, legless, possibly even mindless?.. Would we want our children to be called "Acceptable Collateral Damage"... This is a double edge sword and innocence on both sides lose when Gr$$d rules..

BrigitteT. The point I was making was simply that the numbers of civilians killed in conflicts is decreasing over time with more accurate weaponry. Unfortunately though it will never reach zero.
As for
"someone's comparing the numbers of victims in a WORLD war, with the number of victims of in country attacked by another county".
What happens in a world war is countries attack and are attacked by other countries, no different.
You can argue all you like about whether or not you agree with the justification put forward by the factions involved but that will change nothing. (nor will personal name calling) There has never been a time in all of mankinds history where there has not been wars and conflict.......and sadly there never will be.

While I don't agree with everything being said here, I do believe it is time we leave Afghanistan to the Afghani people. We definitely "screwed the pooch" on this one. It is time to leave or we will follow all our predecessors who have failed. The war in Afghanistan broke the Russians financially.. "We" are already in financial straights and certainly underestimate the issues in Afghanistan that we are faced with..If we are going to remain then back up is needed but we should formulate a far different policy before we become worse off then the Russians were.

Whether we like it or not many Afghanis believe that we're in there country for all the wrong reasons and many do not like Karzai, believing he's corrupt.. He's been President since 2004. There has been an old saying around for many years."IF WOMEN RULED THE WORLD WE WOULD NEVER HAVE ANY WARS". It does make you wonder. I think people with better negotiable instincts are less likely to be "WARMONGERS". I am probably an idealist.

People be careful for what you say or you might end up on the list. yes, the government is watching and listening to everything you say. There is no such thing as freedom of speech not any more especially if you protest for something you believe in or you might end up as the enemy of the state.

Hey Shirley, there's nothing wrong with being an idealist, good for you.
Unfortunately that old saying is just that, an old saying.
Looking back on history shows that the fairer sex can be just as treacherous, brutal and can have the same lust for power through war than men.
A few examples are Boadicea, queen of the Iceni, the Amazons, Joan of Arc, and in more modern times Margaret Thatcher.

"Catherine you said: Does anyone really think these Countries that hate us give a damn about all the children who are now fatherless b/c of wars. I think not. "

And that's because when your country is suddenly under attack, "shock and awe" style, for NO good reason at all, with thousands of buildings bombed into dust, including hospitals, schools, stores, markets, entire neighbourhoods, ancient museums, and no more clean water or electricity, and you lose your children, or your parents, or your siblings, or your neighbours, or your friends, or your own limbs, or all of them at the same time.... there's no time to think about the invaders' children.

And even if you had time, even if you had retained your sanity... after all this, why would you care?

Weapons are not getting more accurate. That's a myth war corporations want people to believe. And that's why they have coined the term "collateral damage".

And even when certain weapons were made to be accurate, those who use them don't care if they will hit civilians.

Ask the 140 Afghan civilians (that included 90 children) who were hit in one single strike recently. Oh but you can't, they are all dead. Ask the hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians who were mass murdered, courtesy of the USA. Ask the Palestinians in Gaza, courtesy of Israel.

"There has never been a time in all of mankinds history where there has not been wars and conflict.......and sadly there never will be."

I agree with this. But it doesn't mean that we should just stand by and accept it. Or even worse, make excuses for wars, especially one way attacks on other countries.

You sure have a funny way of advocating for Peace... as claimed on your profile "To help wherever I can with the causes of peace in the world".

As for the "name calling", look who's talking. Did you re-read your comments on this thread? "You people that espouse this rubbish need to slap yourself on the face get off your rump, get outside into the real world and stop playing with your keyboard." and so on... just because others wouldn't agree with you. After such comments, don't expect to be taken seriously... and as far as I know, I have a right to express my view about trolls if I want to. If you took it personally, well... :P

"I sat there in agony thinking about all that had led me to this private hell. My idealism, my patriotism, my ambition, my plans to be a good intelligence officer to help my country fight the communist scourge - what in the hell had happened? Why did we have to bomb the people we were trying to save? Why were we napalming young children? Why did the CIA, my employer for 16 years, report lies instead of the truth?

"I hated my part in the charade of murder and horror. My efforts were contributing to the deaths, to the burning alive of children - especially the children. The photographs of young Vietnamese children burned by napalm destroyed me."

Ralph McGehee former CIA intelligence analyst

"I suspected I was just part of a racket at the time. Now I am sure of it. Like all members of the military profession I never had an original thought until I left the service. "The civilized have created the wretched, quite coldly and deliberately, and do not intend to change the status quo; are responsible for their slaughter and enslavement; rain down bombs on defenseless children whenever and wherever they decide that their 'vital interests' are menaced, and think nothing of torturing a man to death: these people are not to be taken seriously when they speak of the 'sanctity' of human life, or the 'conscience' of the civilized world". -- James Baldwin

"We used to have a War Office, but now we have a Ministry of Defence, nuclear bombs are now described as deterrents, innocent civilians killed in war are now described as collateral damage and military incompetence leading to US bombers killing British soldiers is cosily described as friendly fire. Those who are in favour of peace are described as mavericks and troublemakers, whereas the real militants are those who want the war. Tony Benn

"Civil disobedience is not our problem. Our problem is civil obedience. Our problem is that numbers of people all over the world have obeyed the dictates of the leaders of their government and have gone to war, and millions have been killed because of this obedience. . .

Our problem is that people are obedient all over the world in the face of poverty and starvation and stupidity, and war, and cruelty" : Howard Zinn

Brigette T, I can assure you first hand that weapons are more accurate today than they have ever been.
With the use of Laser guided, Infrared guided, Radar/Infrared/IR Imaging/Electro-Optical Guided Weapons, Millimeter-wave radar and satellite guided DGPS weapons systems it is possible to place munitions within mm of the target. There is certainly nothing mythical about this.
Collateral damage is a term used to describe unintended damage. It was first used after the bombing of Japan in WW2. I suspect its appeal to the military is it doesn’t sound nearly as bad as saying so many civilians were killed and so much property was razed to the ground.
In modern military conflict the war is more effectively waged for the hearts and minds of the general population and collateral damage kept to a minimum. The US military learned this lesson the hard way in Viet-Nam by using indiscriminate carpet bombing which led the civilian population to support the VC.
Also known as low intensity operations it incorporates subversion insurgency and peacekeeping and has been used successfully in many theatres including my home town of Belfast.
In all conflicts mistakes are made but there are serious consequences for anyone found intentionally harming civilians.
Brigette I don’t make excuses for war but unfortunately there are always reasons. Whether it be religious, political, territorial, cultural, just plain greed or a lust for power mankind has a deadly affliction of being predisposed to conflict.
As far as us standing by, well I learnt a long time ago if there is a situation you can have no control over your efforts will be wasted. Yes I know people power is often talked about but a lot of people can get killed in the process like the Tiananmen Square massacre, the Dilli massacre, the Santa Cruz massacre, the Iranian protests recently and many, many more.
Yes I do state “to help wherever I can” in my profile and I am an advocate for peace.
Wherever I can, cannot realistically mean my stopping the war in Afghanistan, you and I both know that that war will end only when the US government decides the time is right.
You got me all wrong on that name calling thing, I know what I said but it was meant very much tongue in cheek. Back in Belfast we had a saying which was “Catch yourself on” What I said in my post is roughly the aussie equivalent. Maybe we should have some of those little smiley faces for such occasions.
Brig I don’t mind if people disagree with my point of view and I don’t profess to have all the answers, I just express my view the same as you and all others on this forum.
I try not to offend or launch personal attacks.
That last little thing at the end of you post … :P is that you poking your tongue out?

"With the use of Laser guided, Infrared guided, Radar/Infrared/IR Imaging/Electro-Optical Guided Weapons, Millimeter-wave radar and satellite guided DGPS weapons systems it is possible to place munitions within mm of the target. There is certainly nothing mythical about this. "

Are these weapons an extension of your mythical manhood, or are these the tools of people who have gone mad with an excuse to take over the world? Could it be both?

"One general was heard to say "if you threaten our missiles, that's threatening
the family jewels"
which I think is the most significant thing I'm going to
say tonight. Because the cause of this nuclear madness is the reptilian
midbrain. And to compare the missiles to the male genitalia...I mean there's
some deep psychological pathology in that. If you look at the Pentagon language,
it's replete with sexual innuendos...missile erectors, soft laydowns, deep
penetration, robust earth penetrator, hard lines, soft lines, we'll have one
nuclear blast like one big orgasm...that's how they talk...in front of
women...on a stage...they've got no embarrassment or shame...it's like
sports language."

I'm not impressed by the weaponry (or manhood) or both. This country has been shooting and attacking first, without talking or asking relevant questions or concern for the countless murdered. Collateral damage my azz! How would you like you and your family to be collateral damage? No life is worth these lies. "Collateral damage" are words used by people who do not value human life, or see certain humans as beneath them.

I'd like someone to tell these same people that they themselves are considered "collateral damage." Actually, unless you are one of the 1-5% of the wealthy in this country, you ARE collateral damage to the corporate communists and don't even know it.

There is no Osama bin Laden. Never was and we all know it. An audio tape is conveniently brought out with his voice (supposedly) to remind us why we're over there tearing up those countries "looking for bin Laden." You, me and grandma all know there is no bin Laden. He was fabricated by the Bush Administration (along with the emergency alert) and a bin Laden audio is brought out every month or so as a carrot for the American fools as justification to keep killing muslims, to try and take their resources, control their country and spend military dollars to give jobs to our soldiers and feed money to the crooks with their hands in the till. Cheney (Blackwater) is one of them.

Obama is trying to figure out the mess Bush left him, and he's learning there was no - cause - for- this - war. None whatsoever. McChrystal (military leader) has gone rogue going around trying to spread his war mongering to anyone who will listen to increase troops in Afghanistan, avoiding the chain of command. ReTHUGlicon senators are traveling around the world (on our money) going rogue trying to counter protocol, while neglecting critical work needed here at home.

The ReTHUGlicon$ and the 20-25% of the people who support them in this country are sick fux who claim to be Christians, while sending innocent Americans to wars they created, killing millions of innocent people in other countries, using massive weaponry that was never needed and provided with the blood, sweat and tears of American money...while the masses lose jobs at home and sleep on the streets.

Only 1-5% reap the rewards of this evil, corrupt system...yet, 15-20% of the population supports the 1-5% as they rape, pillage, mass murder and take hard earned money from us all. That is the agenda of the ReTHUGlicon$. They never cared about or worked for the people and never will. They work for big corporations, the war machine and the elites. That's it. They don't work for me, you or grandma.

This is what I would call the Twilight Zone where down is up, the sky is black, and corporate communism rules the day. When Obama stops listening to and considering the rants of the village idiots among us, we can stop this madness. Because evil and madness is exactly what it is.

Those who oppose Obama are doing so with every dirty trick imaginable because they know this...

If Obama get health care reform through, he will most likely be guaranteed a 2nd term and it will be the end of the ReTHUGlicon Party. I personally, will be voting green or independent next time around. That's here nor there. The important thing is that Congress is getting a STRONG message from the majority to get their shyt together...or else. Change is coming and it's beyond what Obama envisioned.

Once health care reform is done, Obama will be working on pulling troops out of Afghanistan. How do I know? Suffice it to say I know. Once that is done, Obama will be addressing the remainder of the corruption in this country, educating the masses and dismantling the evil within. Beck, Limbaugh and the other demonic messengers' days are numbered.

Inside evil mad men lies scared, cowardly little boys and girls. That's what fake wars, weapons and murder tells us.

But the right-wing is already doing their part to dismantle the evil, educate the masses and help Obama with his agenda. These people have defined themselves for all to see...hatred, corruption and evil. This is the BEST education and way of showing the American people (and the world) what they are about and to know what we don't want. How, you ask? By showing their deeds.

Here's a quote from the bible that right-wingers should know well. After all, they are Christians, right?

"By their deeds ye shall know them..."

Thanks for the education. It is greatly appreciated.

Kenneth I appreciate your warning since I too realize that reality. Dare To Dream's been at this for 20 years as the DTDN and before that as "The Typewriter of The People".. Both efforts were begun because of the evil I was seeing, hearing and learning, about Insurance companies at that time in 1979. I was assisting someone with an issue and went to the Insurer, Saint Paul Fire & Marine. This person was having difficulty, after an accident, getting benefits in order to see a doctor. When I asked the Claims person why they were not recognizing the injury they were very off hand causing me to say that their attitude was unconstitutional. With that this claims examiner said. The constitution had nothing to do with this issue and, they do not have to abide by the constitution.

That argument floored me. I replied "Where did you come from, Mars? In America the Constitution offers balance, a sense of fairness and justice that "We" Americans respect. Where do you come off ignoring the rights of the people? With that she said "I say whether you have rights". I turned and as I was leaving her office said "We'll see about that"

After many hours in a law library "We" were ready to boogie, as the saying goes. In the end, the injured party received what they were entitled too. A law was passed preventing what the insurer was using to deny benefits. And I? I was no longer naive about the mean spirited power of big biz and the power of the people if they are tenacious. During this period, prior to winning the Insurance issue, someone tampered with our brakes. We have often wondered who since we proved, via a mechanic, that they were tampered with..

When "We" began the DTDN we received warnings via strange phone calls, etc, you name it. So dear Kenneth you are right about being cautious. Faint hearts win no battles. While some may call those of US doing what we find ourselves doing, un-American, I believe to do nothing is truly folly.. Bully's will never back down until they are backed off. Since a small child I have disliked bully's..

As an activist for some years now I really have great respect for what some of the Care2 members are doing. It makes my heart sing.. When I began my journey in 79 I thought I was the lone stranger but not any longer.. I do believe that Americans are stepping up to the plate. Are we where we should be yet? No! But we are growing and that's what counts.. Thank you Kenneth for making US aware of the reality that what some of US are doing is stepping on abuse of power toes. I certainly hope so. More and more American's are waking up to the fact that the Big biz bully's use our legislators, spying, FISA, and even policing networks against us. Take care Kenneth..
Peace, Barbara

Kenneth - this is my greatest dilemma - that we are being watched and everything we say can be held against us - that is why I kept silent for more than 15 years already, but there comes a point where; if you say something that you know is true and comes from the heart and you make sure that you don't break any of the laws that they have made then it will be very difficult for them to break their own laws - on the other hand I guess it's naive of me to think that they would obey their own laws and even less the law of God. Nevertheless if they don't bother me I wont bother them. ...lol
Yes weapons are accurate guys - but you are all missing the point! There is no real enemy - so an enemy has to be created even since WW2 innocent people were bombed and the Commanders knew that the target was civillian - but that is how the money is made!!!
Brigitte as for what you said - we that did the dirty work collecting intelligence material were always kept in the dark and in the end felt so betrayed that one doesn't know anymore what is true and what not. And to get up and go out there won't change anything. What will you, me and everyone else here be able to change? All we will end up doing is giving those guys what they want - they WANT the public to riot or get aggressive against them - remember they need a reason to use their weapons. I was taught that Mandela was the bad guy. Today he is the only politician that I can ever envy - because I have read his Freedom Charter (which was a banned document here in SA). All we can do is stay good, don't let them grind us down, do what Ghandi did. No violence but set an example. Enough good will eventually disperse all bad. Remember even the hardened soldiers following orders still know in their heart what is truly right they just need time to find it.
pastor Tim - great one there with the pig!
Barbara - your'e quite right, they try to use fear to keep the world silent, and yes not just Americans are starting to wake up but many people around the world. It feels great to have all you at Care2 as friends believing in the same things I have carried around for so many years now.

CODEPINK co-founders Medea Benjamin and Jodie Evans recently returned from an eye-opening trip to Afghanistan. Their experiences convinced them even further that sending 40,000 more US troops would be disastrous for Afghan women and children. On October 3, their last day in the country, a US bomb hit a farmer's house, killing two innocent women and six children. That same day, a fierce gun battle in mountainous Nuristan Province left eight U.S. Servicemen dead.

Watch the video interview with Dr. Roshanak Wardak, an Afghan member of parliament as she speaks with CODEPINK about the effects of the U.S. presence in Afghanistan and what Obama should do about sending more troops: http://bit.ly/8slbo

"After eight years of U.S. military presence, Afghan women told us more troops will just mean more civilian deaths and more Taliban," Medea reports, not to mention more US casualties, more devastated families in both countries. "Afghan women want peace talks and economic development, not endless war."

Jodie adds, "We were told that most men join the Taliban out of economic desperation; providing jobs will do more for security then spending billions on more troops. It's time to change our military focus to a focus on improving the health, education and welfare of the Afghan people."

Near the end of their journey, the delegation met with women from Afghanistan, Pakistan and India to discuss issues of peace. The women--including members of Parliament, Dr. Roshnak Wardak and Shukria Barakzai; Suraya Parlika of the Afghan Women's Network, and businesswoman Wazhma Karzai, President Karzai's sister-in-law--signed a letter asking Obama to focus on economic needs in Afghanistan, not war.

As Dr. Ghazanfar states, "To fight is not the solution. We have a mouth and a brain, we should talk."

Won't you sign on to the women's letter to urge Obama to stop sending troops to Afghanistan? You can use our tools --including a downloadable petition (http://bit.ly/HtV5B) to a United for Peace or AFSC vigil marking the 8th anniversary of the war in your area this Wednesday.

Jodie reminds us "The protection of Afghan women is often used to justify our military presence, but we met an astounding array of Afghan women who said that sending more U.S. troops is not the answer. President Obama should listen to these women."

Thank you for using your mouth and your brain to speak out for peace in Afghanistan,

What one doesnt realise is that Bush has started it in the the name of USA and should be finished. It wont be credible for USA to pull out at this point.... please dont get me wrong, but I dont like whats going on and everyone needs to give Obama a chance to clear up the 8 year old mess, it takes time to undo all that is done in the name of I dont know what....

Very wise words Yvonne. Too many armchair critics with little grasp of the real issues involved need to give the President time to work on the problems. The USA would be foolish to pull out of what is a breeding ground for terrorists. And heaven help the citizens if the taliban re-take the country after any pull out. It will go back to the way it was with women being subservient and being forced to stay indoors as dictated by radical sharia law along with public executions, torture and murder. These stupid notions that some have about pull out the troops and everything will be paradise for the people is so far off the mark.

John I believe there has been a total reversal of policy since the days George W Bush was advocating policies making nuclear weaponry more usable. Thank goodness congress never funded these policies.
In 2007 Henry Kissinger, George Shultz, Bill Perry and Sam Nunn proposed the US should pursue a course of a nuclear free world. (Hence my earlier comment) The cause for optimism is that this view is also embraced by President Obama.
The US in fact does lead the way in nuclear risk reduction with such programs as the Cooperative Threat Reduction (CTR) and the Global Threat Reduction Initiative. These programs include not only the US but Russia and former states outside of the former soviet union.
So it has started and should be encouraged.

For those interested in knowing some of the positive steps forward and steps away from the Mutually Assured destruction (MAD) days the following will I hope demonstrate the world has moved forward and will continue to do so as long as the US congress approves funding for the CRT program I mentioned earlier.
Some examples of weapons and equipment deactivated or destroyed in the U.S. and recipient states include.
• 6,312 nuclear warheads
• 537 ICBMs
• 459 ICBM silos
• 11 ICBM mobile missile launchers
• 128 bombers
• 708 nuclear air-to-surface missiles
• 408 submarine missile launchers
• 496 submarine launched missiles
• 27 nuclear submarines
• 194 nuclear test tunnels
• 260 tons of fissile material received security upgrades
• 60 nuclear warhead storage sites received security upgrades
• 208 metric tons of Highly Enriched Uranium were blended down to Low Enriched Uranium
• 35 percent of Russian chemical weapons received security upgrades
• 49 former biological weapons facilities were converted to joint U.S.–Russian research facilities
• 4 biological weapons sites received security improvements
• 58,000 former weapons scientists now employed in peaceful work through International Science and Technology Centers (of which the U.S. is the leading sponsor)
• The International Proliferation Prevention Program has funded 750 projects involving 14,000 former weapons scientists and created some 580 new peaceful high-tech jobs.
• Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan are now nuclear weapons free
The impact of the CTR program is undeniable. And yes there is a way to go but it is an ongoing program that needs everyone’s support, especially now when funding for it was reduced by President Bush for fiscal year 2009.
