The Pythons will meet again to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the creation of the troupe on Oct. 15 at the Ziegfeld Theater in New York City. While the event will feature no cows being flung by catapult the reunion will involve the complete troupe?

Laugh-In, Monty Python's Flying Circus, granted, American/British, but both so indicative of the time. They represented, in humor world, this great cosmic stretch. (imagine it as an actual physical stretch then apply it socially and spiritually)

I know you "can't go back", but in so many ways... I think the trick would be to recapture the spirit of it and build upon it. It was some very good stuff and we need a current infusion. Expand, be free, heal, yep, that's what I say.

I agree with everything my dear friend Suruna
has said......we can't go back, indeed, but the
comedy of Monty Python is timeless, it is classic,
and will never go out of style, or out of time.
40 years?...wow, where has it gone?
David, I fart in your general direction at this
happy news!
noted w/a smile! :-)

“Your highness, when I said that you are like a stream of bat's piss, I only mean that you shine out like a shaft of gold when all around it is dark”

From: Monty Python quotes (Creators and stars of the television comedy series Monty Python's Flying Circus.)

Similar Quotes are available to all. If you are too young to remember Monty or old enough to want to laugh all over again...Google the quotes yourself, there are far too many to list here :-)

“My philosophy, like color television, is all there in black and white"...

And Pastor Tim... “I don't wanna talk to you no more, you empty headed animal food trough wiper! I fart in your general direction! You mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!”...

Fart away my friend...Oz is a long way from Tennessee!...Farts have a mind of their own, but dissipate in the air if given the odd ocean or two to cross?...Rest easy,I smell you not! :-)

It's quite simple really Tim...Care2 saw fit to shut down Rasputin but I bet they'll think twice about suspending me now? (Retribution, karma and all that jazz) :-)

King of Swamp Castle: When I first came here, this was all swamp. Everyone
said I was daft to build a castle on a swamp, but I built in all the same,
just to show them. It sank into the swamp. So I built a second one. And that
one sank into the swamp. So I built a third. That burned down, fell over,
and then sank into the swamp. But the fourth one stayed up. And that's what
you're going to get, Son, the strongest castle in all of England.

and...

My philosophy, like colour television, is all there in black and white.

Good one, Tim!

“NOBODY expects the Spanish Inquisition! Our chief weapon is surprise...surprise and fear...fear and surprise.... Our two weapons are fear and surprise...and ruthless efficiency.... Our *three* weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency...and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope.... Our *four*...no... *Amongst* our weapons.... Amongst our weaponry...are such elements as fear, surprise.... I'll come in again.”

Loved the last time they got together on that stage, and they had the ashes of their departed fellow player (the blonde guy) on the coffee table. Every now and then the urn holding the ashes would shake. I just recall really enjoying them telling stories of the good old days. What would the world be like without Python? The Meaning Of Life is one of my favs, that and Life of Brian. What a riot! I hope this reunion will be on HBO or something.
