Pope's Gambit Could See Thousands Quit Church of England - Brainwashed Sheeple Change Sides

As many as 1,000 priests could quit the Church of England and thousands more may leave churches in America and Australia under bold proposals to welcome Anglicans to Rome. Entire parishes and even dioceses could be tempted to defect. Gimme more money?

"Our Holy Father" is full of holes but his wallet, obviously, is not...

The money spent on re-guilding the icons and furniture in the Vatican (the smallest country in the world) would feed a comparably sized third world country for life...But no, let's recruit a few Anglicans and make more money to guild the lilly...Who cares about the poor and starving?...They have nothing to give us???

Since most of those who are unhappy with the notion of Female Priests and openly gay Bishops are Conservative Evangelicals who view Rome as one step from Hades I don't think this bid is going to fall on fertile ground...but there again stranger things have been known.

Personally I am for Interfaith Interventions in its widest format...I am a believer first and way down my list is the institutional body to which I belong.

And yes I believe that Human Rights was pretty high on Christ's list of priorities as well and he would have viewed the wealth of the church with some disdain and overturned their money tables.

Sarah Silverman has a solution for the Pope

As for me, I'm concerned about those dark circles under his eyes. He almost looks demonic...

Thanks, David!

Where do they get off at.....Hmmm I think I've seen and read to much to not have the answer..
Must be the weather as all I have going through my head right now is my lyrics to Brick in the wall....'We don't need no religious teaching..just leave our kids alone'...good thing I don't have to sing it for all of you, as that's not one of my better talents.

they've got dead baby bones behind those bricks -they are the true abominations to yahshua's teachings -false prophets "buy your forgiveness here no need to t'shuvah" -when actually NO religion is needed to live according to the scriptures if it is ones will to do so.

Hmmm... I agree with your stance against colonialism, oppression, exploitation, etc..

However, you have made some untrue claims about this issue - and you have not shown any evidence for those claims....

In the real world, the capitalist class (owners of private corporations, which control the world's economy) already have control. They don't need any "world government" or whatever, in order to maintain and increase their wealth and power, to everyone else's detriment.

In the real world, the imperialist countries (the countries of the first world) already dominate the Third World, and reap a net flow of U.S.$500 billion in wealth from the Third World each year, which impoverishes the peopleof the Third World to such an extent that 3 billion people are living onless than U.S.$2.50 per day, about 1 billion people are malnourished, about 1 billion people don't have access to clean drinking water, and about 11 million children die each year from poverty, because privileged people (mainly in the first world) take more than they need, buying cars, big houses, big TVs, going out to restaurants and cafes, buying new clothes regularly, paying money for taxis, paying thousands of dollars to travel in airplanes, etc....

And in the real world, yes the European Union is both a system of unity, which brings Europe together and reduces nationalist conflicts within Europe, and also a system by which the corporations can increase their power and exploitation of Europe's working class... BUT the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, African Union, MercoSur, and especially UnaSur (Union of South American Nations), ALBA, PetroCaribe and PetroSur, are unions of the countries of Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean which unite Third World countries, so that they can resist the first world's imperialism, end U.S. hegemony, and bring about a multi-polar world, in which countries are much more equal, and there is much less invasions by the USA,and much less economic exploitation of the Third World by the first world!!!

Marion, excellent, as usual. I loved the Sarah Silverman link, thx.

Yes, David, to the point.

I hadn't heard this til now. I feel like, omg, what next? (control yourself, girl, careful what you ask for) The far reaching implications, and strategies?, that would motivate this are making my brain bounce around in it's pan, damn. And I for sure can't come up with a good and positive motivation.

So, in a clumsy attempt to sum it up, and aside from the power, money, greed influence, it looks as though 'somebody' has determined the very likely possibility that 'they've' lost control and the holy war (and really anything but, oxymoron) becomes something of a probability. So what do you do? Direct your minions to find a way to incorporate large 'made to order' contingencies, increase your numbers exponentially.

Which, quick on 'they're' feet as they are, manages to even more elegantly facilitate 'their' goal. They've pretty much provided what 'they' need, we're resource sucking expendables. Sorry, I wish that I could hear this with hope and with joy, but I see better.

Many catholic priests have molested children.Catholic churches are going bankrupt all over the country. They cannot afford to pay the price of their corruption and lies.Millions of dollars have been paid out to these sexually abused children. The church has covered up for the molesters for years.Where are the women in these churches? There are none.It is a cult of pedophiles.Jesus Christ never lived in his own "city".He was poor and loved the children. He would have nothing to do with the catholic church if he was here.Sarah Silverman is right, and they would never sell the Vatican.

The Episcopal Church (the Anglican Church in the US) entered into "full communion" with the ELCA (the largest Lutheran denomination) almost 10 years ago and this caused no large number of priests or clergy moving from one to the other nor outflows of money. It did make it easier to find a church in which to worship when moving or traveling. This doesn't seem to me to be that big of a deal.

Lets not mock God... there are good churches where the true followers follow.. those that are spirit filled and live by the spirit, big big different to the relgious letter that comes out of the Roamn catholic church, so do not lump these two different - very differnt goups together... Also don't let man's sin.. be an accuse for pointing fingers at the church as a whole.. God never condones molestation... that is a lustful sin that those people need to deal with...
