The US-led war in Afghanistan is "another act of terror against the people of the world". US-style capitalism is the cause of much of the world's instability?...Isn't it?

If we are in Afghanistan because of oil, don't drive a car - or, find out which petroleum companies get their oil from that country and don't support them.

We have a Democratic president as well as a Democratic congress. I thought they ran on the "end the war" platform. It has been a year since the election, and we are going to increase the troops.

For the record, I am a conservative, and did not vote for Senator John McCain (we had thirteen tickets on the ballot in Florida). I want Halliburton and the company formerly known as Blackwater investigated for fraud, waste, abuse, criminal acts, acts of violence committed by employees.

I suppose liberals assume all conservatives are Republicans. There is the Objectivist Party, the Libertarians, the Constitution Party, Alan Keyes, Ron Paul - we all oppose the war in Iraq!

If you have the power, why are we still there?
