It's Not Hillary, It's the Policy Stupid!

The media obsession over who's in and who's out of consideration for the Obama Cabinet brings the admonition on the famous "War Room" wall of Bill Clinton's 1992 presidential campaign to mind: "It's the Economy Stupid!"

Those of us eagerly awaiting relief from the debacle called the Bush administration should avoid getting swept up the in DC parlor game of who is getting what position in the new administration and focus instead on the fundamental changes we need the Obama administration to start making. In short, "It's the Policy Stupid!"

President Obama will begin his presidency with enormous good will from the American people and great hope from the world at large. It is imperative that he seize this opportunity by quickly moving his campaign pledges into bold and decisive action despite the opposition that surely awaits him.

I like the way he brings in Hilary Clinton in order to muzzle that idiot of a husband of hers. He has made it a condition that Mr Clinton "shuts his mouth in public"...should have been done years ago...one up to Obama.

President Obama has said many times that
we are in the economic septic tank we're
in because of a "bankrupt philosophy". I
believe "policy" and "philosophy" are
interchangable there.
Yeah, it's the economy, stupid, along with
a good half-dozen other things. But, I sincerely
believe that Barack Obama and his people are exactly
who we need right now to clean up the horrid mess
left by Bushco.
Thanks, David!

Sorry, I don't like his appointments. However, if he can harness the abilities of his team and direct them in policies which benefit the people of this country, I'd be pleased.

The people he has chosen are movers and shakers that have a reputation for getting things done. The challenge Obama faces is to make sure they stay on the course HE has outlined for them to follow.

That article sizes up the policy changes I would like to see.

As far as the appointments go - I will take a wait and see attitude. If the actions taken are solid and the policy changes are right, I don't care if Mickey Mouse is Secretary of State.

Don't expect the moon and stars from Obama......If he treads on too many toes of the criminals on the gravy train,or the FED, "they"will arrange for his "sudden" removal..."they" are well and truly entrenched in the system..Hilary is sitting in the wings, she would be far more obliging for the criminal set....Obama is juggling with bottles of nitro glycerin, one sudden or wrong move, and he is history. 'THEY" have hijacked your monetary system, and you, your following generations are saddled with debt. The only solution to cure this problem, would be signing Obama's own demise.
I am somewhat amazed by the fact that, the US, the "Land of the Free', has the threat of Martial Law hanging over your heads, and that a Battle Hardened unit has been brought back to "assist' local law enforcement authorities. Is Obama going to allow this to continue??
Is he going to redress the loss of your legal freedoms, that have been hijacked by Bushco? Pull the various levels of law enforcement back into line? Rein in corruption????? Accountability for expenditure of public monies???
I think these areas would be a litmus test, for Obama's intent......or capacity...It is a MASSIVE undertaking for any mortal man.......in this day and age.

All we need do is remember John Kennedy’s speech on security to understand what happens when you even threaten to upend the power elite. If you don’t remember or are too young you can find it on YouTube.

Ken - I don't know what you are refering to in this particular sentence:

that a Battle Hardened unit has been brought back to "assist' local law enforcement authorities...

But, I agree with the following:

Is he going to redress the loss of your legal freedoms, that have been hijacked by Bushco? Pull the various levels of law enforcement back into line? Rein in corruption????? Accountability for expenditure of public monies???
I think these areas would be a litmus test, for Obama's intent......or capacity...It is a MASSIVE undertaking for any mortal man.......in this day and age.

I don't think it's fair or realistic to expect miracles of anyone. If he starts us in the right direction in the next 2 years, I'll have hope.

Ralph - I listened to Kennedy's speech - how moving. I Ioved to listen to him speak even as a kid. I didn't remember the speech.

Personally - I feel that what could get Obama killed is racism...but you never know, I guess..

Very good article. We who elected Obama can and most certainly WILL, CONTINUE to make our voices heard in every possible which way -- from White House and Congressional calls to e-mails to blogs to demos big and small to Peace Vigils to sit-ins to.......
The Internet, and not the Fat Cat donors, give Obama a NEW BASE OF POWER. Therefore, there is HOPE that he can keep the folks he appoints reined in and supporting OUR agendas -- and we mustn't look away even for a second!

The FACTS of the Kennedy assassination are now becoming WIDELY known, a half-century later. The "Single nutcase gunman Oswald" is hardly a respectable piece of "history", any more. The "Conspiracy with elements of the Government taking part" narrative has gone from being a "fringe", eccentric point-of-view, to mainstream with the American public.

So it will be, finally, with the TRUTH about the events of 9/11. From "eccentric" to mainstream. However, if Obama were at this point to go in that direction, I believe he WOULD be offed on the spot. President Obama will be strong enough to go there, when he has SOLID PRACTICALLY UNANIMOUS PUBLIC SUPPORT FOR GOING THERE, for instigating a new investigation of 9/11 at the very least!, when he has some NOTABLE SUCCESSES behind him. Also, when ALL THE FACTS OF THE KENNEDY ASSASSINATION ARE MADE KNOWN TO THE WIDE PUBLIC; not just that minority that reads books!
That will prepare people to believe the real horror that Cheney/Bush perpetrated; and THAT is when Obama, a very intelligent and PRUDENT man, can start looking into that can-o'-Bushco-worms!

The Far Right is now counter-attacking and preparing more and more vicious counter-attacks. These guys just WON'T GIVE UP!!! Counter-attacks as were so prominent during the McCain/Palin campaign, you know, "Obama is a SECRET Muslim" and all that. Look for these types of attacks to be REALLY stepped up, when Obama starts withdrawing some troops from Iraq! {Cutting the GOLDEN FLOW OF WEALTH to Contractors and War Profiteers!} "He is handing us over to the Jihadists; they are going to follow our troops home!" etc. etc.

Be prepared for the vilest things they can devise. About 25% of the public, unfortunately, is ripe to believe that sort of thing.

One good thing tho; the Far Right seems to have a habit of GOING TOO FAR; and we liberals and progressives benefit by the BACKLASH!
It is heartening that ALL WE HAD TO DO, IS STICK BY OUR GUNS, STICK BY OUR PRINCIPLES; and the great American Public turned and finally came round to OUR point of view!
Commentators are now talking about the public "turning Left" -- Yeah, if PEACE and, Health Care for All, and a modicum of economic safety-net security, are "Leftist".......

We can make visible our support for those of our policies that Obama supports, and drown out the increasingly irrelevant media idiots.....

I KNEW it was ALL OVER for the war-mongers, when I spotted [in department stores, not stores catering to Lefties and progressives], ugly red pillowcases with the word "Peace" written all over them......

I think he, President Elect Obama, has already hit the ground running and is working behind the scenes to have his new direction for our country put in place and ready to rock as soon as he is sworn in. Just because many of his new cabinet have been there before, they have a new leader and his agenda to follow. I don't know why, but I think this will be an extraordinary Presidency, not just for America, but for the World. We all live her together, no exclusions.

"May we all walk together in peace"

The mess that SHRUB administration has left Obama is going to take a looooong time to fix, even if Obama gets 2 terms he will not be able to accomplish everything that needs doing...it would be impossible for ANYONE. BUT having said that i truly think Obama and the adminitration he is now appointing WILL be in our best interest and will change the way the world views the USA, we are better than what SHRUB has lefts us with and better than the view the world has of us now because of SHRUB and co....
He will better this Nation, i truly believe this...I truly believe he is a strong man who will make sure his appointees follow suit and not deviate from his vision...

Ralph, your reminder speech led me to this piece of astonishing 'Inside Edition' with non other than, BilloRiley as we have never known him. ( ha ha )

Bill O'Reilly was a real reporter before he sold his soul and became the chief propagandist for the neo-cons.

In this report, he shows connections between the CIA and the assassination of President Kennedy.

The report itself is really not so astonishing, but the Reporter is. (o:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvdS-1dcVxw

As Follows:

THE MOST DAMAGING OF SEALED DOCUMENTS OF THE HOUSE SELECT COMMITTEE ON ASSIGNATION – Accuse high ranking officials of the 'Central Intelligence Agency' of lying to the people of the United States about Lee Harvey Oswald.

House Investigators believe (this man) DAVID ADLEY PHILLIPS met with Oswald 2 months before the assassination. PHILLIPS was the CIA's Chief of the Western Hemisphere Operation, and was in charge among other things of plots against Fidel Castro.

According to Secret Reports, Antonio Veciana, a leader of Anti-Castro Cuban's directed by the CIA saw Oswald talking to a Senior CIA Agent, he knew by the cover name; ' Maurice Bishop'
Veciana...provided enough information for CIA Investigators to compile (this sketch of the Agent) who met Oswald. 'Could it have been Phillips?' Investigators believe it was.

Phillips denied under oath that he knew Oswald, but Investigators did not believe him and wanted him charged with perjury. THE GOVERNMENT REFUSED TO PROSECUTE, leaving Investigators furious.

The Director of the CIA in 1963 was, John McComb, he caused a sensation among committee Staffers when he admitted there was an Agent using the cover name Bishop. But a secret memo reveals he was allowed to reverse his testimony. A CIA Lawyer wrote the committee, “ I should inform you that he had been in error. In summary Mr. McComb withdraws his statements on this point.”
The man who fingered, Maurice Bishop, Antonio Veciana was shot in the head soon after testifying, but survived. Frightened, he will no longer talk about the case.

We caught up with him in Fl. (Antonio Veciana). “They wounded me in the head. They tried to kill me. Maybe I know....”

David Adley Phillips died of cancer in 1988. Investigators believe Adley was angry with JFK for botching , 'The Cuban Bay of Pigs Operation'.

The second explosive revelation in the sealed documents also links the CIA directly to Oswald.
While living in Dallas Oswald was befriended by, Russian Born George Demohrenschildt.. Investigators determined he was a contract Agent for the CIA in Central America and the Carri bean.

In 1977 , almost before he was to be interviewed by House Investigators. Demohrenschildt blew his brains out with a 20 gauge shotgun. HOUSE INVESTIGATORS BELIEVE HE WAS A CRUCIAL LINK BETWEEN THE CIA AND HARVEY OSWALD.

There is no question that the sealed JFK Files are extremely embarrassing for the CIA.
House Investigators have told 'Inside Edition' that the Agency did not fully cooperate with the investigation. And that the CIA had, final say in the Report that the House Assassination's Committee made public. Thus the Public Report makes no mention of the CIA's links with Lee Harvey Oswald.
But the secret documents are another story.

Jim Garrisons Movie:
The movie JFK was partially based on Jim Garrisons investigation in New Orleans
While House Investigators uncovered evidence that the CIA planted 9 agents inside the Garrison Investigation. ...To feed him false information and to report back to Langley on what Garrison was finding out.
