More than 251 times as many people have been killed in Afghanistan and Iraq than in the ghastly attacks of September 11, 2001. More than 108 times as many people have been killed in these wars and occupations than in all terrorist attacks to date.

On the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall..."Their paeans to universal freedom ring hollow, when they bear large responsibility for another wall constricting human freedom: the apartheid wall dividing the Palestinian West Bank".

Dropping bombs and killing civilians angers whole populations and creates ill will to the perpetrators. Bombings to vanquish the al-Qaeda network is like hitting a mature dandelion with a golf club. It just ensures another generation of al-Qaeda. Rethink?

Afghanistan, service men and women are already facing repeated deployments, oftentimes while having already been diagnosed with medical and mental conditions that should render them unfit for deployment, even if they have been diagnosed with severe PTSD.

In place of health care for Americans, there will be more profits for private insurance companies. In place of peace there will be more war. Obama's credibility is shot. And so is Congress's, if it ever had any. The rest of the world doesn't count?
