I'm not sure what I believe. We are oxidizing coal, gas and petroleum, probably faster than they are reduced, or produced. (Swamp gas is gas, the tar pits are petroelum, I do not know how much or any coal produced.)

At times I wonder if back to dinosaurs - during the three Ages the dinosaurs dominated the planet, C02 was very high ( I learned this in about the sixth grade, 1966, quite a few decades before I learned about the Greenhouse Effect.)

Hmm...the atmosphere changed very rapidly after, or during, the demise of the dinosaurs. Can anyone explain what happened? What makes C02 rapidly decrease? If carbon dioxide was high levels for three geologic ages why is it low now?

Caucasians have only been using fossil for at most two centuries, beginning with coal, then petroleum in the late nineteenth century. We know the early automobiles did not run on petroleum, they ran on plant oil.

(China has been using coal for millennia.)

We can easily heat our homes with solar energy - the rub is transportation, especially vehicles, ships and aircraft. (Trains can run on electricity.)
