Shark Conservation Act of 2008 and Senator Kerry introduced the Senate companion bill, S. 3231, which would require sharks to be landed with their fins attached in all U.S. waters.

Our report reveals that shark conservation has economic value, with sharks being worth more through ecotourism ($212 million) than in fisheries ($19 million).

As a conservative, I appreciate the value of money. If for no other reason, ban fishing sharks and support tourism - we make more money!
