Ayn Rand Worshippers Should Face Facts: Blue States Are the Providers, Red States Are the Parasites

There's only one way to demonstrate who America's producers and parasites really are. It's time to go Galt. It's now well-understood that blue states generally export money to the federal government; and red states generally import it.

This is quite inaccurate. It's the libtard states that are parasites on teh rest of the nation while the capitalists provide the resources and revenue. 'Galt' means 'wrong' in the Scandinavian dialects and this article proves it; down with extremists on both sides and down with Socialism and the Dummycrat libtard liars!

I'm only a Canadian, but this is startlingly positive, useful news. If there are a lot of Americans out there unaware of the fact that red states are takers, and blue states givers, Listen Up! Ayn Rand has led a lot of people down the path of greed, to the point that many regard it as the only truly American (or rational) path. Right-wing conservatives invoke Rand continually to validate their position of self-interest versus "socialism". Ha! Thanks, Lynn, for this hard-facts story. Too bad Ms. Rand isn't around to try one of her brilliant flim-flam rebuttals.

People on the wrong side want to cry that progressives are "socialists" or "communists", but the reality is that the Progressives are the ones helping the economy while the ones opposed to progress are the ones taking what the rest of us earn and wasting it on pork-belly projects that do little to no good to the country.

THEY are the real socialists, living off of the hard work of others, taking from those that work and giving it to the rich, who, more often than not, have never had to work a real job, a single day in their lives. They want the rest of us to pay our taxes, yet try very hard to avoid paying their own taxes and contribute to the nation that they are preying on.

Re-affirms what's been said about Repugnuts and TPukes' approach to everyone except the 1%: What's mine is mine and what's yours is negotiable.

I have one brother and we are so different. I am way on the left and when he sent me their annual picture with the year's highlights he told me that he and my sister in law had gotten involved withe the RI tea Party. They are big Ayn Rand enthusiasts. They have her books on book holders and have long wooded drive way with sayings h=of hers on the trees. they go to Ayn Rand conferences every year. Granted we were both adopted but it is amazing how children who grow up in the same house can be so different. I remember reading The Fountainhead in high school and the feeling/image I was left with was cold, gray steel.

Great piece. If only if were as easy to put into effect as it is to understand.

Well, I guess it's easy to understand you were blessed with a genuine education rather than "home schooling" from a mother who dropped out of school int he 9th grad, herself.

Letting the Red states have a few years living on their own, in exactly the way they claim to want to live, would either kill them or teach them to think. Either way, it would free the rest of us of the burden they've become.

My son, a atheist conservative (believe it or not), once asked me, ' What do you think is more important, 'Justice or Equality'? The answer was easy for me.
I said, 'Equality, of course. You can't have justice without equality'.
He did not give my answer any consideration at all, because, as you may have guessed, he completely disagreed with me.
Where did I go wrong and/or what happened to make him think this way?

Why should they face facts? They're "faith-based." Don't you remember the Shrub staffer who said, "We create our own reality"?

The headline on this article says it all. But, those who vote for the republicans might not have enough of their own brains left to think, analyze and vote accordingly.

By the way, Ayn Rand was a repulsive woman, who was anti-socially disordered.

Do any of Ayn's followers worry about such facts at odds with their chosen beliefs?

My oppinion is not faith - based, I'd say it's based on logical reasoning. Sorry, but the Republicans can't be trusted; just go and see how they oppose Obama. Never mind how well Obama means it - they oppose, because what Obama says didn't come from their own party. That's what they are about, they fight and oppose, in order to fight the Dems. They are not about common sense (see healthcare + more), they just want to rule. They blind us with "security" (warfare) and "tradition". If they had not opposed Obama that much, we would have been a lot better off; Obama's ideas at least are not so bad, after all. But who am I to say this ? I live in a "safe" distance, my only hope is that you judge both, the Dems and the Reps on the impact they have on society / world.

Ayn Rand ....who believed in complete selfishness. She never had any children, lived completely for herself and had no compassion for anything or anyone. What kind of hero is this?? This really explains the Tea Party philosophy if this is their hero.

I think it was an excellent piece with a lot of valid points. Those that throw stones should not live in glass houses.

Ayn Rand: Selfish, greedy, anti-social extremist. No wonder the tbagger republikkklans relate so well to her and honor her extremism. They're one and the same! Let's get rid of them all!.

November, 2012 - Vote for Obama and a large Democrat majority in House and Senate -- to get good things done for ALL American people!
