Incredible as it seems, Republicans are getting their knickers in a twist over potential gun control legislation. One in particular, Steve Stockman of Texas, is talking impeachment because he says that Mr Obama is over reaching and messing with the 2nd amendment rights of Americans. But is he? If Mr Obama simply re-institutes a previous ban on assault weapons, is he over reaching? Personally, I don't think so. And certainly the mood in the country is more favourable to gun control in light of the Newtown murders.

I guess we'll just have to see how it all shakes out.

Since the threats of impeachment of Nixon, only Clinton...and now Obama, have been threatened with impeachment. Bush should've been impeached. So, it seems the threats are coming every few months over some issue or other. I am so tired of it. I wish they'd just shut up and get to work.

He obviously doesn't know the way the articles of impeachment work, still it is a pretty low thing that he is doing it so Americans can carry military hardware so what he is really saying is that he would rather have guys with concealed weapons, shooting unarmed people in the back and spree shootings of children than some sensible gun control, demonstrates the sheer stupidity of the man.
