Criminals who are found guilty of domestic violence and stalking are discovering loopholes in gun laws across the country ... them to obtain guns. ...lawmakers are skirting around the issue. The [NRA] is continually ... blocking any attempt at reform.

Domestic violence of any kind is abominable. But add in guns and lax ownership laws, and the abomination grows. Let's at least close the loopholes so that those accused or convicted of domestic violence can not obtain fire arms.

I hate to be blunt, but if a crazy, psychopathic person who looks normal wants to get a gun, they can. The person who attacked me had a warrant out for their arrest, and consequently was denied purchase of a gun legally, but still managed to obtain a high-powered rifle anyway. There need to be stronger, and quicker, responses to attacks of any kind, and very, very long sentences, so people don't feel encouraged to vent their rage.

Criminals or no criminals, guns don't take sides. Their only job is to kill.

One recent case involved a man who was allowed to bargain a protection order down to a mutual restraining order. That made the difference for him to get the gun legally. He killed his wife's brother and sister in law, or sister and brother in law, I forget which, and three of their four children (one bullet missed any vital spots but she played dead and so survived). His wife, or maybe by then ex-wife, had taken her kids out of the state due to the fear of exactly that.

Your signature has been recorded. The males who make these lax laws are not protecting the women of this Nation. This FIRST responsibility that men have is to protect the women, not to make millions of dollars, not watch football, but to protect the women. Women ARE the life bearers and they should be protected and this is not at all being done on many levels.

The both men and adult women protect the children and the Elders.......failure in this Country of USA is HIGH, as it is in many other places. Humanity has a long long way to go......if it doesn't kill itself off first for the FIRST Mother is our Earth and look at the crappy job being done to protect her.

I'm happy to say that WA state passed a law denying guns to anyone with a domestic violence conviction or a restraining order against them. The NRA is incensed.
