Last week's highly entertaining episode of the Jeremiah Wright Show didn't tell us anything new about the demagogic reverend. He stands by his sick notion that American foreign policy and jihadist terrorism are equivalent, his defense of Louis Farrakhan,

Check it out: I was raised around preachers, teachers, missionaries, and evangelists, and, I certainly would NOT deserve to be judged by the "sermons" I have heard nor everything those folks have said!!! I am really sick of everyone giving Wright SO MUCH attention. He doen't deserve to be heard so much! I am curious who is "backing" him, Republicans' or Hillary's supporters~~~

Kathleen, when a person suddenly comes into the public spotlight and runs for President, people have a right to know something about that person. Most people knew nothing about Obama. They only knew what they heard from him in his speeches. Now it turns out that he has been attending a Church that was run by a Pastor who seems to have been preaching hatred towards his country, honors Louis Farrakhan and sees blacks and whites as being completely different. Obama had made it clear in the past that he thought very highly of this Pastor. In addition Obama's wife has said that this was the first time in her life that she has been proud of her country. It seems that she might have been influenced by this Pastor. I think that people have a right to question why did Obama stay with this particular Church for 20 years. By the way, I have read that Oprah Winfrey had left that Church in the 1990s because of the things that she heard from that Pastor. I also know that Hannity of Fox news did an interview with Rev. Wright back in March 2007. They were already aware of Rev. Wrights views. So I wonder why Obama stuck with him. Does he really agree with Rev. Wright but is telling us he doesn't because he is a politician( as stated by Rev. Wright)?

Esther, I was raised in UCC churches. As with ALL denominations, I saw & heard good and bad preachers & parishoners. My own father is one of the biggest hypocrits I know, yet he has written a book about religion that I know will be fabulous. We once a preacher who's wife made racists comments in our Sunday School class (teens) - and I walked out! I eventually left that church comepletely when they got a bunch of money and decided to cushion the pews & decorate the little church, yet only send $100 to the missionaries! On the otherhand, I dearly loved the other UCC preachers we had or knew, especially the one who baptized me and encouraged my parents to be missionaries. My Dad even preached to people who'd never seen a white man before. I do not deserve to be judged the wrongs my dad has done, nor the bad preacher we had. I enjoyed church in spite of him because I appreciated the good people there and the hymns. I sincerely believe Obama deserves a break. He is a good human being - in spite of one bad preacher~~~

Kathleen...you said "We once a preacher who's wife made racists comments in our Sunday School class (teens) - and I walked out! I eventually left that church comepletely when they got a bunch of money and decided to cushion the pews & decorate the little church, yet only send $100 to the missionaries!" Unlike you, Obama didn't leave the Church he belonged to when he heard all the hateful anti-white and anti-American comments. Good for you..you left when YOU heard the racist comments and saw the in-justices of your Church. There is a lot being discussed and written about Obama and his preacher and church but it goes way beyond just his association with Wright. Wright is just the tip of the iceburg when it comes to unsavory characters and organizations that Obama has chosen to include in his life and very calulated political ambitions. People are correct in questioning his judgement.

Nina, my point had much to do with the fact that we do not always hear EVERY sermon - just as Obama missed a few too!!! I walked-out due to the racists remarks, but didn't leave that one church until those financial decisions. Now, I am a member of a completely different church - which does not reflect my beliefs. Its a long story - stuff happens~~~ AND, it is a VERY RARE politician who hasn't met an "unsavory" person in their life!!! We should not judge people by the church they belong to, nor their mere acquaintances. [Bush & Cheney were NOT "mere acquaintances!] I am petrified of McCain because he is a Bush gang puppet! And, now I am VERY disappointed in Hillary (who I DO respect), since she's talking og fighting Iran! BTW: Abraham Lincoln must be a VERY happy ANGEL from seeing Obama follow his footsteps!!!
