GMO is just one of those things to avoid, but with our own government in bed with Monsanto, it's not easily done. Monsanto has recently launched a proverbial war against the open labeling of genetically modified foods. - Activism and awareness required...

when we buy healthy food we have a right to know that it is healthy and we can have some control over how much junk food or GM food. Why fear labelling it if it's nothing to worry about?

The end of the human race and the creation of mutants has begun, thank you Monsanto. May you and all your employees immediately come face to face with your own karma.

The organic producers can fix that by simply labeling their products-the government can't prevent them from it. Their products will sell while the gmo crap sits and collects dust on the shelves. I would say rots-but I doubt gmo filled products can. If we all continue spreading the word about Monsanto and their ilk and their frankenfood-no one will buy it unless they have a deathwish. There are a surprising number of people who don't know about gmo crap. Spread the word my friends, spread the word far and wide.

Something stinks, Monsanto. If you're not lying your head off then why aren't you insisting your products be labeled? Why aren't you proud as a peacock and shouting about your wonderful GMO food all over your products, instead of trying to hide them?

Monsanto sells 'Roundup ready' GM seeds to farmers. Farmers plant, tend the crop and spray it with Roundup (Monsanto weed killer) twice before it is cropped. The resulting seeds are infertile and will not yield another crop. Then the farmers have no choice dut to buy new seeds and more Roundup from Monsanto...

The farmers who choose to go the Monsanto way are simply contractors for Monsanto. Australian farmers are paid premium export prices for NOT producing GM crops. And that is the way it should be?

Well the fact that Monsanto is in a position of needing to mount a 'massive ' campaign indicates that they are in trouble, which we can see as a good thing. We just have to mount an even bigger one! If any one from this sight has not seen the documentary Queen Of the Sun' then l highly recommend it. It shows the decline in our Bees and how devastating it is for our planet and Monsanto in relation to GMO's and Bayer in relation to pesticides are both mentioned very clearly as two of the main contributors to their destruction. Of course mono culture has had an incredible impact on nature and our bees too!
Why do we as human beings think we can do it better than nature? Well Nature will get the bettor of us if we are not careful! We need to educate our farmers about the impact they are having on the planet and how they can do it better for all concerned, by breaking up their crops and leaving areas in their fields for flowers and trees to enable the bees and other insects to thrive, because if they don't, we won't thrive either. Monsanto has to go!

GMO corn is grown to fatten up cattle in the slaughter pens during the last 6 months of their innocent lives, so that people can eat them. (Chickens, pigs, cows etc are also fed marine animals an all sorts of animals ground up.) GE corn, soy, etc is infused with every sort of "cide" . GMOs with "cides" kill off bees and pollinators, butterflies, lightning bugs....GMO crops are called "ALL NATURAL". They are grown on deforested lands that become dry desert dusts, steal water, waste all resources. We must demand that Monsanto, Bayer, et al are BANNED from producing these cides forever more. We can guarantee that we can restore Nature and forests and moist, cool air, water, soil by NEVER PURCHASING ANIMALS FOR FOOD. It is what we decide to buy, who and what our money goes to, that is the factor.

Don't you just love the "" reference in this article? The people (I mean the chemical companies) who support this website must think that everyone is stupid... Even the website name alone shows their arrogance.

The word is getting out through numerous groups, about the concerns to the health of the humans, the bees, the soil and the future. Better to buy organic and cook your own simple food than buying any non organic packaged food that you don't really know what it "is". I can't wait until they are all labeled so I know what I'm eating at Whole foods that has GMO's in it, deli foods, soups, etc. "Natural" food has no basis in fact, it's either ORGANIC or it isn't, generally.

The only thing good I could think of reading about all the crops losses coming b/c of the weather, is that most of the corn crop is GMO anyway..........Good Riddance.

Noted, Thank you Cher.

Thanks John.......of course GM and the government don't want us to know what is in our food. And they don't want it labeled, because they know people will not buy it. It is not safe to eat anything. And you can't trust anybody to tell you the truth about what is in the food we buy. SAD, what our country has come to. It's all about GREED!!!!

In Africa crops of wheat are generally sown with a dozen different seeds. The reason being that some will tolerate drought, the others excessive rain. In the end there will always be a crop to harvest. Monsanto seed is a one off only and if subjected to climate extremes will not provide a crop, only more money for Monsanto to replace the failed crop. Monsanto should be shut down immediately!
