We ask that you open your heart and your mind to the deep love we have for our animals. We ask that you understand they are our family...we hope that you are able to see them that way. In seeing them in our perspective, we ask you these questions...

Thanks barb, that was wonderful. I have know several vets that I cannot imagine why they are vets except money!!! I think many are in it for that. That is not to discount the good ones. I do know 2 in particular that should never have become vets.

Noted and signed. Vets often think that when we bring our pets in, that they're just animals. I took my cat to get shots and have his leg checked because he broke it and the cast just came off. I helld onto him for dear life the vet said, Mom, back away from the table. I didn't wnat him to break anything else, he was a baby. He fell off of a chair and broke his leg, and they say that cats always land on all fours ha ha.

Personally, I have always held my vets to a higher standard of care than my personal physician.

#239 signed. We do have vets that make house calls but they are not available after hours or weekends.
The vet was not open on Sunday in January so I held my "Ladybug" all afternoon until she passed on. She was 19 1/2 and healthy until the last few weeks. I realized how lucky I was that I got to hold her until her last breath.
I would be nice to have more vets that felt the same way we do about our family and keep the prices low.

TY Barbcat~ Noted and signed #241 Thank you dearest Cher my Sweetie as well. Thank you dearest Henriette as well for the forward as I have been offline and am overwhelmed with petitions. THIS IS QUITE IMPORTANT! Richard~ I feel the exact same way! Kris B~ how tragic for you. I live in an area when there is an emergency situation, the BEST and CLOSEST Vet Emg. is less than 40 minutes away. My heart breaks for you but am so touched as to your situation. I experienced the same with a BELOVED cat at 25 who passed in my arms just moments before my BELOVED vet opened. I knew it was her time for awhile, but held her and loved her to PEACE. We went to Dr. Karen's office and I have her gorgeous "resting place of ashes and many cherished items" as she is always with me physically and spiritually. I now have 2 new rescues who are happy as can be with my ferral. THANK GOD FOR THE EMERGENCY PET HOSPITAL WHO DIAGNOSED ONE WITH 100% LIVER FAILURE~ LESS THAN 5% CHANCE OF RECOVERY. $2,600 plus later...{loan} and 24/7 hour care for 7 1/2 weeks...HE IS SO HAPPY AND HEALED. But I'm a bit off track and apologize. Your story touched my Heart so much. WE ARE A HAPPY FAMILY OF FOUR. Wink!!!

Just one thing I forgot to mention...I AM SO BLESSED WHERE I LIVE TO HAVE VETS, VET HOSPITALS {EXCLUDING ONE} AND OUR HUMANE SOCIETY WHO ARE THE BEST ON THE PLANET. I would go to them {even though I pracice 100% Eastern Medicine/Holistice for 35 years} for a "second oppinion". TOTAL HONOR AND RESPECT.

I could not agree more with this petition. I so love my critters and believe that they deserve to have their last days and or moments right where they belong. Close to those who love them and wish for their final moments to be safe within an environment where they have felt safe and loved in...This is a petition whose time has come..
Blessed are those who love critters for they have felt the unconditional acceptance which comes from unselfish love...

I am the person who wrote this letter to a vet. My name is Cheryl Gustafson and I have a cause on Facebook called Hospice Care for Old Dogs who are Dying. This cause is where this letter originated...my question is this: on my petition site, I see only 385 embers who have joined...on this site, I see many who have signed tis petition..Barbcat...when do the sigatures come together so I can SEND this petition to it's proper destination? I appreciate your help; however, I need to know of al the signatures so I can give an accurate count to my members. We have been thinking that no oneis signing but, now I see that the opposite istrue..Barbcat, I would appreciateyour response on this asap.
