Humans are continuously upstaged by animals.

Perhaps that's why humans grab at what they think makes them superior and claims it gives them the right to destroy what seems to them inferior.

Most Christians claim animals do not have a spirit and therefore man is superior;but Ecclesiastes decries that ego triip. Ecclesiastes 3:21 Who knoweth the spirit of man that goetth upward and the spirit of the beast that goeth dowward to the earth? The surrounding verses expound.

Humans like to think their intelligence is superior to animals. As researchers begin to study the intelligence of animals, we are abashed. And we've only begun to discern their intellect.

Some folks believe we can reincarnate as an animal if we are bad.

I say if some people incarnated as a dog, that would be a promotion!

Well, the dog is pretty good looking.
I saw some of the photos on tv and they were all great. In one she looks like she has 6 toes because of the lighting.

Yeah, Horsehockey, I agree the dog is a cutie. I couldn't care less about her. She wasn't that great an actress like Barbara Stanwick, or Bette Davis. She just was a Window dressing. Thanks Barbo cat my friend.

BTW...My dear friend Zee Kallah, we Christians DO believe dogs have Souls. That's why we're always talking about The Rainbow Bridge when we lose a Beloved member of the family, AKA (Pets). Sorry to disagree with you my friend. Hugs and old Dottie sends you woofy kisses. LOL

I agree with all of you who said the dog was the real star. MM had did not want to share the spotlight and that's ok. Not everyone is cut out to be an animal lover. TY All for noting and your great comments!!

Marilyn did learn something from the dog - to share the stage, as she did with Ella Fitzgerald. Three great stage presences, including the dog as well as Marilyn and Ella.

If she was upstaged, then I suspect it was the first and last time it happened. Can't recall her taking a back seat from then on in.
