Somewhere, playwright Neil Simon is smiling. The oddest of couples has materialized at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo, New York--a protective deer and a nesting goose.

Great Spirit speaks through all living things, this deer heard and it came. May these little geese bless the earth with their honks one day.

The news announcer claims that deer and geese have no way to communicate. This event proves that they do. There is so much about animal communication we don't know anything about. This is an amazing story.
Thank you, Barb!!!

Such a sweet story. Deer are like that. I feed about 40 to 60 a night, depending on weather, and have been studying them for a book for the past 5 years. They are family oriented and take care of each other; and a lot more.

Love this video & thank you Barb - and Sheryl for the forward.
I honestly believe animals are intuitive - we hear stories all the time of these incredible 'acts of heroism' by animals, yet we are always surprised. We call it 'compassion' in humans, but not all humans have it. For animals it is part of their natural instincts... they only kill to eat or survive and most survive through some kind of group cooperation. Funny how so many humans have devolved away from their own 'nature'.
